If the result of the next 3 matches doesn’t change for man united I don’t think Michael Carrick will remain at the club before December. By December the league is expected to be getting more serious and this is the right time for Man united to start fixing their issues before it’s too late. Manchester United have actually bought top players in the past after Ferguson left but the issue with the club still remains, they had previously signed players for huge amounts so i wouldn’t blame them if they decide not to be spending big again on players because their previous investments doesn’t work. I think they are yet to assemble the right squad this season who will fight for the club and that’s why I think is high time they look into the academy and start building from there.
I don't think Carrick would escape being sacked before January, the situation of the club have become so tough for him to handle, you could see how he keep making wrong decisions in selections including changes, it means he out of ideas of how to fix things, I'm so sorry for him cause he wasn't given the right backing but I blame him cause he's not bold enough to speak up but kept saying positive things about the owners during the transfer and in interviews. I heard that the board is already contacting some managers to replace him, how long would it take before they stop moving in circles, must they keep sacking managers every season? That's to let you know that the problem is within the management at board level.

Firing the coach—as I’ve come to realize—is no longer a solution but rather an escape or a way to hide the management’s incompetence. When Carrick took over the Manchester United coaching position from Amorim, his results were quite satisfactory, leading many to call for him to be made the permanent coach. This season, Manchester United’s performance has been the opposite of what it was midway through last season. The season is actually still long, and he still has a chance to redeem himself. In my opinion, Carrick seems to be taking a gamble with his strategy, and I don’t blame him for being overshadowed by Sir Alex.
Manchester united have been changing different coach, but still the performance is not still perfect, and what I think about the club is that they need to invest higher in players to get new key players to the team, because when a club is facing too much challenges and you have make some decisions of changing the mangers and still things didn’t workout the way you need, the next step is to makes some transfer and bring some fresh players to the team, and you will see how the mangers can handle them and performance will be back. Manchester united have not been in a good snap this season, they have been losing matches badly.

Manchester United have been like a meat grinder for managers during the last year and it's both funny and interesting that you mention Sir Alex Ferguson because, many of you maybe don't know that, it took him 7 seasons to win a Premier League. Now they don't even wait two seasons before sacking the manager. In today's football there would be no Alex Ferguson at United.
With the modern day football, clubs expect immediate effect because no big club wants inconsistent performance for several seasons without a breakthrough. You can take Arsenal for instance, that has remained without trophies for years but finally won the Premier league after many years. Every club needs a manager with vision, its not about the amount of time given to the manager, when there is no vision and improvement with the team squad, the possible outcome is a sack. Arsenal performed consistently under Arteta even without a trophy which was why he was given the grace, and the result really ended positively. Arteta has always pushed for the top of the league, that's why Arsenal stood behind him. In this regard, Arsenal's management did the right thing, but I miss the old days more. For example, Arsene Wenger worked at this club for more than 20 years. Similarly, even David Moyes spent 11 years at Everton. In the past, stability was a key factor. However, as time has turned us into a consumer society, such examples have become impossible. In this context, I’d like to ask you this: Arteta is a very good head coach, but how long can Arsenal tolerate him if he goes on a losing streak? As long as they can. If Arsenal management can tolerate Arteta from 2020 till the day he won the Premier League trophy in 2026. Why won't Arsenal tolerate Arteta if Arsenal goes on a losing streak for some time. Not mistaken, Arteta just signed a new deal that will last till 2030. There will be ups and downs that Arteta will deal with in the Arsenal team from now till when his contract expires

I hope someone advises Huzeller to decline the job and focus on his growth in Brighton because he is doing extremely well for a young manager of his age. He should not be tempted by the glamour of being the coach of Manchester United because the management of Manchester United will not support him enough to see him succeed but will be quick to discard him as a failure when the bad results start coming in. Everyone knows that the problem with Manchester United is not the coaches they have had, but the management of the club that Ronaldo even complained about when he returned to the club in 2021/22 before moving to Al-Nassr.
If Manchester United had kept Erik Ten Hag, they probably would not have been in this position they are in currently because he had a good record as a coach with them, one of the best compared to the coaches that have, right from the time Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013. He won them the 2023 League Cup and the 2024 FA Cup and also finished 3rd in his first season but the management of Manchester United could not just be patient with him and dismissed him too early the next season for a poor start for Ruben Amorim who they saw as a better replacement, but later became a massive fail because of the same challenges that Michael Carrick is facing now.
The frustration is slowly eating into the players, and that will affect their performance the more. I can't blame Carrick, he is working with what he has, but in this age and time in football, it is not enough.
Some coaches have a long-time desire to coach one of the biggest clubs in the world: Manchester United. If Fabian Hurzeler has such a goal, he might gladly accept the offer from United. He might turn out to be the solution to the problems of the Red Devils. Another challenge is whether United will want to put in an estimated £10 million to £15 million to get the current Brighton & Hove Albion manager. There are cheaper options such as Antonio Conte, Kieran McKenna and Eddie Howe. Manchester United management have made it clear that they are standing by Michael Carrick at these difficult times. I also think that the 45-year-old deserved to be given some time to find the solution to the challenges of the team. After all, he was the brain behind the success of the Red Devils last season.

I understand the frustration! It has already shown on the players and the performance we see week in and out is nothing but subpar. Two truths can honestly exist and one of them is that, the management have their own failings but Michael Carrick? He is way to wacky to lead Manchester United. He thinks he is tactically great but you could see he is confused and clueless. We have a tactical issue and fitness issue and it has to do with the manager not the management? The management are way too dumb and behind, at the same time Michael Carrick is obviously a fake person.

The Manchester United board has failed to figure it out yet. Get a good promising manager and give him time to build the team. Obviously the first season will be bad but give him the backing and give him the confidence to go ahead with his project. Arsenal did it, and look where they are today. They could have sacked Arteta in the earlier seasons, but they didn't and he delivered them to the promised land. You got it right; changing managers every passing season is not going to help them.

I wouldn't say Michael Carrick is totally clueless but I think he's currently confused on the best way to revive the team and return them to winning ways again. Maybe he got too carried away with the results he got last season and thought it'll be easy to replicate. That said, I think he can still go back to the drawing board and come up with a tactical approach that'll help Manchester United get back to winning games and getting good results.

For how long will Manchester United fans continue to blame Managers? Are they not seeing the main problem of the club? It's never the players or the managers but the owners. I can remember vividly when Ronaldo talked about the management of Manchester United and how they're fallen from the top as elite team and the world came for him, dragging him on social media and even Manchester United coach started to bench Ronaldo and having an issue with him. This season have been a worst start for Michael Carrick, he couldn't manage his side and they on losing streak. I don't think the Red Devils will be able to bounce back immediately because they're not looking like a team who wants to bounce back. Rather they're more stocked in the challenges they do faced.

He does look clueless at the moment because I have notice in most of the games he has to go back to his bench and usually listens to his assistant why this isn’t bad because they are actually there to help his face usually looks like someone helpless. For me Carrick had one thing which was to stick with the formation and pattern he used last season although even that wasn’t convincing but what choice does he has other than going to his old pattern since he wasn’t backed in the summer. I think most people now understand why some fans didn’t want Carrick for the job even after taking the team higher last season it was because of moment like this and the lack of eagerness to ask for signings in the summer. He is just a mute manager and that’s perfectly what the board wants

On a normal day if a team had played draw in the week of.a champions league match in the league, it is natural to think they were planning to have a better team for.tge champions league that's why they didn't perform properly. This is a different case for Bayern Munich, they were not playing against a big opponent in the league neither were they playing against a big opponent in the champions league that made them to draw in the league. I thought I had escaped Bayern Munich in the weekend only for them to hunt me last night in the champions league. Viking scoring a goal is the problem but scoring three and ending up playing draw is the concern here, what did Bayern Munich really do last night that made them to draw with Viking, I'm wondering because the draw cost me

That’s the problem with the club right now, because of the standard set by sir Alex Ferguson it’s making it difficult for the new set of coaches to do something that will look meaningful in the eyes of the fans because no matter what any coach do now in the club the fans still want more. Not that managers that have been hired and sacked after while aren’t good managers but the they just don’t trust them with a long term stay, they got sacked after just maybe 2 seasons without winning trophies. I think the club should be able to give a certain manager more time to build the team, at least 5 years or so to enable them get to play together for long. Look at Arsenal today, when Arteta took over as manager they weren’t this good as they struggled to win trophies for almost 4-5 years but now they are the premier league champions and also a champions league finalists still pushing for more:
Manchester United have been like a meat grinder for managers during the last year and it's both funny and interesting that you mention Sir Alex Ferguson because, many of you maybe don't know that, it took him 7 seasons to win a Premier League. Now they don't even wait two seasons before sacking the manager. In today's football there would be no Alex Ferguson at United. I sometimes find it strange to some United fans that a new manager always has to be like Alex Ferguson. I mean setting standards as well as burdens that ultimately can never be the same again. Why not stop that standard and let the new manager start his own way. I brought up the Alex Ferguson because he was given the time to actually shape the team as he pleased, and he had the time to grow his favorite players. I never said a new manager has to play the same way or win the same trophies as Ferguson. But giving a couple of years to the manager and then hire a new one makes no sense in my opinion: you have an idea, a project, a vision, you follow it. Starting again from scratch every few years is useless.

Starting again from scratch every few years is useless. At the end of every season, fans always have some managers to compare after testing multiple of them. The truth is that just like you have said, Manchester United will never have another Alex Ferguson and that's the fact. The Manchester United management now make it look like building a team is a one season project or they act like they already have a team that should be productive at a go. They don't just sack because of no title, they want the premier League title, but they do not have the patience to get a qualified team. Several promising managers have handled the team since Alex Ferguson left, even the ones that won various titles also got sacked. The most recent of them being Erik Ten Hag even got sacked after qualifying for the Europa and winning the FA cup that same season. Ruben Amorim may not be a perfect coach, but he had a good record from Sporting where he ended a trophy drought and had an 11 game winning streak before coming to Manchester United. But with all these, he still got sacked because he was building his own kind of team. The fans contribute to this prolonged backwardness since post Alex Ferguson and the same fans keep complaining about no premier League title. Arsenal understood this earlier and that was why they trusted Mikel Arteta for a long-term project even when he looked like it was taking too long to build the team.

The problem with modern days football is that their is zero patience for players and managers. You just need to hit the ground running, because since football is more like a business now, pressure will start building the moment result start going south. During the beginning days of Sir Alex Ferguson, the expectations were not that big, so their was room for a failed season, because as it stands right now, no top club across europe is patience enough to still believe in a manager after doing badly in the first three months in charge, so while building your team, you need to be winning and be getting a far result, because that's what going to buy you time before you can fully implement your playing pattern. Though sacking Micheal Carrick wouldn't solve all their problem, but he might get the sack if result does not improve.

Manchester United management have made it clear that they are standing by Michael Carrick at these difficult times. I also think that the 45-year-old deserved to be given some time to find the solution to the challenges of the team. After all, he was the brain behind the success of the Red Devils last season.
Michael Carrick is not the problem of Manchester United, we saw a glimpse of what Michael Carrick can do if he has the right players last season. Manchester United lost a player like Casemiro and brought in Carlos Baleba and Youri Tielemans. These players are not an upgrade to Casemiro, I see it as a downgrade. Manchester United are spending £150m in a transfer window that they qualified for the Champions League, when their counterparts are spending double or more of the money they spent. So how are they supposed to compete and get good results? This is what Made Lisandro Martinez to voice out his frustration on the club hierarchy.

So how are they supposed to compete and get good results? This is what Made Lisandro Martinez to voice out his frustration on the club hierarchy. It’s too generic to justify. Carrick is simply implementing a very generic strategy without any nuanced details in Manchester United’s play this season. The club hasn’t spent a significant amount of money on players to compete in the Premier League and the Champions League. In my opinion, the players Manchester United has signed—like Tielemans and Baleba—aren’t that bad, especially since Mainoo is already in that position. Manchester United’s weakness lies in their defense, and Carrick’s inconsistency in solidifying the right and left wing positions. On the left, Cunha has already adapted to the team’s style of play, whereas on the right, Carrick still hasn’t decided between Amad and Mbeumo, even though Mbeumo is often played further up the field. Rashford’s performance is all over the place whenever Carrick gives him a starting spot.

Though sacking Micheal Carrick wouldn't solve all their problem, but he might get the sack if result does not improve.
yes but it's not like the situation was the best before, the teams that are at the top must always have incredible results and they must do it immediately, it has always been like this and things have never changed, the thing that has changed is clearly the fact that the teams are now managed more by compnies that have to make money rather than by football teams where the result sometimes fails.

Micheal Carrick should be given more time and it is too early to be thinking he ought to be sacked. Let be honest both him and the board are at fault here, if only they could see that the league will be a lot different from how last season went with more team strengthening their squad and these players having gotten rest, then they could have seen that they needed more signings than they did.

The frustration is slowly eating into the players, and that will affect their performance the more. I can't blame Carrick, he is working with what he has, but in this age and time in football, it is not enough.
Manchester united are really performing badly right now and I think it will be unfair to put all the blame on Michael Carrick alone. I totally understand that the failure and progress of a team is always credited to the manager, but we have to understand that Manchester United have a lot of average players and the board is not doing anything to change the situation. Michael Carrick did well last season and I was expecting the board to back him, but I was disappointed with their business in the transfer market, so I think the board should take majority of the blame.

Buying new players is not the solution. Sir Alex Ferguson was the best Manchester united coach so far and since he left, Manchester united have spent billions in the transfer market to get new players. It's not possible to change the full squad at a time but if we do a mathematical calculation, Manchester united have changed the whole squad more than two times but it changes nothing. Chelsea has been the most perfect example in a case like this but we can see how it's affecting them. If changing the whole squad guarantee result, no team will come close to Chelsea. The more players you have, the more you're creating another problem for the coach. Manchester United problem is not the coach and neither the players but the system overall.

I think Arsenal can afford to be very patient with him because Arteta has built up a lot of credit at the club. He stayed with the team for many years and remained at the helm even though he didn't win the title initially. He finally achieved Premier League success last season, and even if they don't win the championship this year, he will stay on as manager. Long-term managerial tenure is part of Arsenal’s club philosophy. They have faith in the Spanish manager, and I believe we will see him leading Arsenal for a long time to come.
Arsenal are truly fortunate to have a manager like Arteta, who has managed to build everything necessary to maintain a great relationship with his players and the board. Now that they're champions, many are predicting they'll go all the way in the Champions League. We'll have to wait and see, because I see PSG looking extremely strong too. On the other hand, Arteta has established himself as a top-tier manager, and his longevity with the project is impressive. At the very least, he's showing a much clearer vision than Simeone has at Atlético Madrid, despite Simeone having been at his club for far longer
