I don't think Carrick would escape being sacked before January, the situation of the club have become so tough for him to handle, you could see how he keep making wrong decisions in selections including changes, it means he out of ideas of how to fix things, I'm so sorry for him cause he wasn't given the right backing but I blame him cause he's not bold enough to speak up but kept saying positive things about the owners during the transfer and in interviews.
I heard that the board is already contacting some managers to replace him, how long would it take before they stop moving in circles, must they keep sacking managers  every season? That's to let you know that the problem is within the management at board level.

That is not going to change anything. How many coach has Manchester united sack in the last 2 years, the changes is the player act like they are serious only to call back to where they belong. We can't hate on coaches and think they are the faulty people all these while. Let's check the players and see who is at fault. How many times has the team went Maguire to be change, they didn't nothing since that time and I can't confidently says this is what he has done better.

Why are they blaming only Carrick, why not fault the players. The starters in Manchester United are mostly crappie players, they don't do anything helpful. If the team coach is change, you don't expect the new coach to start teaching them like babies. They are professional footballers that need nothing like baby sit. If that's what you guys need, they can go ahead.

I think Arsenal can afford to be very patient with him because Arteta has built up a lot of credit at the club. He stayed with the team for many years and remained at the helm even though he didn't win the title initially. He finally achieved Premier League success last season, and even if they don't win the championship this year, he will stay on as manager. Long-term managerial tenure is part of Arsenal’s club philosophy. They have faith in the Spanish manager, and I believe we will see him leading Arsenal for a long time to come.
Arsenal are truly fortunate to have a manager like Arteta, who has managed to build everything necessary to maintain a great relationship with his players and the board. Now that they're champions, many are predicting they'll go all the way in the Champions League. We'll have to wait and see, because I see PSG looking extremely strong too.

On the other hand, Arteta has established himself as a top-tier manager, and his longevity with the project is impressive. At the very least, he's showing a much clearer vision than Simeone has at Atlético Madrid, despite Simeone having been at his club for far longer

I am not certain they can win the Champions League, given that they lost in the final last year. There are stronger teams this year, making the task even more difficult for Arsenal than it was previously. If there is one trophy that Arsenal absolutely must win, it is the Premier League. In my view, focusing on winning the Premier League should be the higher priority this year. Securing the Premier League title and doing so consistently would bring greater satisfaction to Arsenal.

Exactly, these people keep on making mistakes in changing coaches when it's now evident that it's not the fault of the coaches, I read somewhere that Carrick demanded for some players to be added to the team but instead they did what they the management wanted, now the blame is on the coach. I now believe this news because what Martinez said after the loss to Atletico Madrid confirms it. The management really doesn't care about the club but just to make money, after all Manchester United is big and global team with a large fan base, so technically the money will be pouring in.

Both Carrick and the players are not the problem, the problem of Manchester United is the owners. They are just playing with their fans emotions for nothing, they don’t care about the fans, they didn’t sign the players they are supposed to sign and they hire only managers they can control, so that when the general public sees their fault, they shack them, that’s exactly what’s going to happen to Carrick.

The challenge now is which coach are they going to sign?
Antonio Conte can be a very good coach to change Manchester United, but he will not agree to the owners terms since he will also want to keep his reputation as well, he will not allow them to ruin his career, I think he will not sign for Manchester United.

They have their own share of the blame even though I'll blame the board for making the environment a toxic place for any manager to succeed cause they don’t invest well in sportmanship but more focused on the commercial sector of the club. Some members at the board level needs to be sacked cause their decision making is poor.

Until Manchester United clear their debt so they’ll be able to invest properly then sign a worthy coach or sell off the club then there would be changes cause even if they sign Conte, most of the players are not up to the standards of playing for the team.

Manchester united are really performing badly right now and I think it will be unfair to put all the blame on Michael Carrick alone. I totally understand that the failure and progress of a team is always credited to the manager, but we have to understand that Manchester United have a lot of average players and the board is not doing anything to change the situation. Michael Carrick did well last season, and I was expecting the board to back him, but I was disappointed with their business in the transfer market,  so I think the board should take majority of the blame.
Some of Manchester United players know the problem is not coming from the managers but from fellow players. Manchester United are having a squad problem, if the management can fix the team, build the perfect team, same under Carrick, Manchester United will do very well. I hate seeing coaches take the biggest punishment when players are the actual cause of the situation, Carrick is not as bad as the results we have been experiencing from Manchester United, the players take more of the blame for their underperformance.

Manchester United will not improve for many years because of the way the club is acting, the club is angry at Martinez for the statement he made about the owners of the club that they are not investing in the club well, including some legends are saying that he is not a good professional footballer that is why he said that, every Manchester United player and the fans know the truth but they can’t say it because they are scared, but someone that is not afraid has come out and said the truth.

I heard that the club is not planning to give him contract extension and he will go as free agent next season, that is very good for him, but Manchester United will regret that because he did not do anything wrong by saying what he said, if they do their job well by investing in the club they will not be angry with what the player said, and if Manchester United end up sacking Carrick, they are not ready to build the team.

By now everyone should have known that Manchester United problem is not from the coach or players alone, the management should be blamed for Manchester United poor performance. Higher share of the blame should go to the management, they know how they going to solve Manchester United current problem, but I feel they are not just ready. They just have to provide Carrick with quality player’s if they really want the team’s performance to improve. Manchester United didn’t sign much players during the transfer window, and it’s part of what’s affecting Manchester United now.

I hate seeing coaches take the biggest punishment when players are the actual cause of the situation, Carrick is not as bad as the results we have been experiencing from Manchester United, the players take more of the blame for their underperformance.
Carrick performance was good last season, everything went well for him last season, but things changed this season, we should know that the fault is not really from Carrick, the fault is from players and the management.

Players who performed very well last year are, for some reason, not playing well at all this season it is almost as if they are playing poorly on purpose. It should also be noted that Manchester United has been rather quiet during the transfer window. Michael Carrick placed too much faith in last year’s squad, but, unfortunately, they have failed to impress in every match and in every aspect of play so far. He may well need to bring new players into the team during the mid-season transfer window.

the problem is not just now, the problem has been going on for years now, and everyone knows this, Manchester United no longer has what it used to have, it is a great club but it has not been able to win anything for many years and this has led the team and the club to fall into the most total abyss, in my opinion the worst is yet to come.

Yes, the Premier League is undoubtedly the best goal Arsenal can set for themselves. Not everyone wins the Premier League twice in a row, and it's very difficult to do what Arsenal did last season: win the Premier League and almost win the Champions League. That's a unique feat and shows that those players are on another level. For them to have a chance, I think PSG needs to be eliminated. I don't know, maybe some other team should be eliminated. If PSG is eliminated, the path for Arsenal would be much easier.

There are teams that currently have the capacity to do it: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, even Real Madrid. Personally, if my Real Madrid doesn't win, I'd like Arsenal to win the Champions League.

Most sensible teams tend to focus on their domestic league rather than the Champions League, simply because the element of randomness in the Champions League is too great to realistically plan on winning the tournament. But of course there are teams that are exceptional - like PSG, for whom the domestic title is already in the pocket, or maybe some teams like Dortmund/Roma for whom winning the Champions League would be a much higher bar than the domestic title. And by the way, I think that if Arsenal had a choice, they would rather win the Champions League title this year than the Premier League. They have never won the Champions League before. So...  Smiley

Tielemans is a great player but is slow on the ball, and that makes him lose possession most of the time. Manchester United as a whole has a general problem that does not revolve around the coach but the management. How long would they continue to bring mixed success to the club? How long would they keep sacking managers?

The new signings they made are not good enough to improve the team, the fans waited on a left back and striker signing to close the summer deal but that did not happen. They are currently playing without a natural striker with Sesko on injury, leaving the position vacant.

Right now even a player with huge quality will suffer at Manchester United, it just a case of Florian Witz at Liverpool. Tilemans is a quality player and also well experienced already in the premier league, so it just the team foam that is affecting him currently, if he was in another team he would be doing better. Let just look at the case of Guimaraes at Arsenal, he his not at his very best currently, but then he his doing very well and also scoring goals too.

Manchester United real problem lies in the recruitment system, they are very far behind currently and playing in the champions league currently will only expose them. I don’t think we can even blame Carrick at this point because all the managers before him have the same problem at the team and they all struggled.

Sometimes the players Manchester United opt for are questionable to many, thinking critically and the prices are just beyond quite a number of time. The issue United are having while it is majorly on the board, they are not just the only issue but I guess it has gotten to the point where the fans have to shift their hate to them just like how we Chelsea fans acted especially last season when it became too hard to bear knowing fully well that our board is killing us.

As much as the management of Manchester United are useless and the same with those in charge of the football aspect of the club, Michael Carrick the head coach of Manchester United is useless asf and this should be the last time a Manchester United club legend should be managing the club.

What a dull and rhetorical question to ask! Jesus  Fvckn Christ!

The players are under the head coach for a reason and if he can not make them to play good football that can dominate the league, whybdo we have him in charge then? They're not! These are almost same names that got us qualified for the Champions League with high intensity football, all of a sudden everything changed. I'd say the management sell the club, but Michael Carrick? A subpar and zero tactical coach.

That's just the problem, people are too quick to fault a coach whenever the team is not performing well. There were coaches that Carrick succeeded, it was still same blame game they kept blaming those coaches. I don't think a coach who inherited a team in their bad state should be blamed if the team is not able to come out of that hole. The only time a coach should be blamed is when he inherited a performing team and ended up making them miserable. Manchester United has spent a lot of money on their players but they haven't shown anything for it. When Michael Carrick qualified Manchester United in the Champions League after they didn't make it in 3 seasons ago, everyone was applauding him but now that his team is not performing well, the blame has been shifted to him alone.

Am not going to jump in the queue to blame anybody as I don't even know the problem of Man United at the moment. When a team has changed 3 coaches in the past 6 years, that's tells us there must be something really wrong with the system and like you said management has alot of role to play in this regards. St the same time, I feel buying more expensive players is like bringing them to come and rust like how they will destroy Tielemans profile

Manchester United real problem lies in the recruitment system, they are very far behind currently and playing in the champions league currently will only expose them. I don’t think we can even blame Carrick at this point because all the managers before him have the same problem at the team and they all struggled.
You said it's a recruitment problem? When seven different couches have managed Man United since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club and out of these 7 managers none of them have been able to do the right signing?, I kind of find it difficult to believe so, It's beyond what we cas see because you can't tell me that all these while Manchester United haven't recruited quite good number of players? Should I go ahead and mention their names for you?

I don't think Carrick would escape being sacked before January, the situation of the club have become so tough for him to handle, you could see how he keep making wrong decisions in selections including changes, it means he out of ideas of how to fix things, I'm so sorry for him cause he wasn't given the right backing but I blame him cause he's not bold enough to speak up but kept saying positive things about the owners during the transfer and in interviews.
I heard that the board is already contacting some managers to replace him, how long would it take before they stop moving in circles, must they keep sacking managers  every season? That's to let you know that the problem is within the management at board level.

It is very possible that Michael Carrick might be sacked before January,  but I don't think it's a good idea or will it change the situation of the team, rather it will take them back again. Michael Carrick definitely has potentials,  but the board is not backing him. Manchester United have a lot of average players and I don't understand how they expect him to compete with average players.  Bringing in a new coach will affect the team, because the new coach will definitely come with his own idea and tactics, which is going to take the players time to adapt,  so I think it's better they keep Michael Carrick and back him up in transfer market.
