Gyokeres seems feel so desperate because he never being a part of Arsenal's starting line up since the start of this season. Arteta always prefers to start Havertz instead of him, which is destroying his mentality. He rarely gets a lot of minutes to play, and he always becomes a substitutions only.

I think the growth about the gossip that says he's keen leaving from Arsenal to join another club makes sense. To be the best striker, what he needs is actual minutes on the pitch.

Leaving him at the bench is only destroying his career. I think Gyokeres has to think about that. He has to pick one between staying at one of big club in london or leaving for the better of his career.
I kind of feel bad for him because I know the quality he possesses, but it’s coaches preference in this case. Kai isn’t bad anyway and he always find away to get into the Arsenal score sheet whenever he plays, which is also another reason why Arteta don’t even consider to use Gyokores. But I don’t think he should leave. I think if he’s a little bit more patient, things could turn around and he might likely get the playing time he deserved. remember there are so many competition that Arsenal are participating in and only one good game and probably one bad day for Kai could change the coaches mind about whom should be the starting striker for the club.

the coaches are the most exposed and if things don't go well they are the first to leave, this is clear, but they must also have the support of the club behind them and which sometimes also has to defend them, instead it seems that in these clubs where you just want to win everything straight away, there is always a tendency to blame very easily, but Arsenal with Arteta know what they are doing and i like them for this, they know how to manage the players well and they know how to take responsibility.

I don't know the details, I can only speculate but the last good game I saw him play for Arsenal was the game against Atlético Madrid during the Champions League semi finals meeting.
I also feel like Mikel Arteta do not play to his strength alongside some of the players in the squad like Saka. I believe all of this will be made clear come January transfer window and we should be able to tell of Viktor Gyökeres would be ready to leave the club. I'm sure Arsenal are already monitoring two players who replaces Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

At this moment I am confident that Arteta is doing everything possible to make it clear to the board that Swedish striker is not longer his preferred option, when I felt bad for him was after he had a great international break with Sweden and also Kai Havertz was said to be out injured or got knock only for the return to the club football even with that doubt or lack of full fitness Arteta trusted Havertz to lead the attack ahead of him, it was then I truly understand that his time has come at the club.

And one bad thing for a striker if you’re not getting minutes is the fact that your form or confidence will be dropping and the only way to get it back is by having a run of games and this is usually not what most get. Unlike defenders that can change a manager’s perception about them in a game. Seriously if things continue this way i am sure Gyokeres will push for an exit in January

Alex Scott is a good and upcoming midfielder, his performance was good last season, and has been decent since the start of this season.
I think he will end up at Chelsea. Chelsea is currently in need of an Enzo Fernandez replacement, and Scott is just what they need. Chelsea earned a lot of money during the transfer market, so signing him for such amount shouldn't be a problem. And again, why he could go Chelsea is because most of his England teammates are there, so it won't be that hard for him to relate and adapt in the team.
Both Alex Scott and Adam Wharton are good players that have proven themselves worthy to play in the Premier league, so its normal that they would attract big teams like Chelsea and Manchester united. Chelsea are yet to find a replacement for Enzo Fernandez but they have played well in their recent games without his presence, would his signing add value to the team or break the connection they have already?

Adam Wharton is another good upcoming midfielder, I don't think such quality player like him should still be at Crystal palace, or what do you think?.
Crystal Palace are good at producing excellent players, the likes of Olise, Eberechi Eze and the rest are proof. Adam Wharton would do exploit with a move to Chelsea, he deserves better with that talent.

I feel bad for him too. I believe he is a good striker. To be fair, he is a better goal scorer than Havertz, but the system prefers a player like Havertz. Gyokeres is very limited in Arsenal's system. He is a player who prefers to stay in or around the box. He is used to being a top striker, instead of dropping deep and joining in defence.
I think he should leave. He should look for a club that fits his profile.
Arteta is going to be a manager at Arsenal for a long time, and in this time, Gyokeres will continue to be a second striker. So in my opinion, he should leave for a club like Bayern Munich.

I believe Gyokeres will stay till the end of this season, however if it continues like this, I mean for top striker like Gyokeres to be constantly coming from the bench and not always start, it will be difficult for him not to think it twice. Arsenal is the club at the moment most players would want to go, given the fact that they are the Reigning champions and are in all competitions, but every player would want to have a regular time of play, Gyokeres on that hierarchy as a top notch player, he definitely needs regular time of play, Arteta should look for a way to manage the situation so it wouldn't get out of hand, people are already noticing it, even though is mere gossip.

I feel that, it's better for him to leave because with the quality that he possesses, he is bigger than sitting on the bench and given few minutes to play. What if Kai continue to improve in performance and give Gyokeres no space to have enough play time, don't you think that will kill his career. Gyokeres should go to where he can have enough playing time.

If Viktor Gyökeres gets an offer from a top European club and decides to move, I won't be surprised. Before he came to Arsenal, he was one of the hottest properties in Europe, he can get himself back to that scoring form we saw at Sporting again.

To be frank Gyokeres is not Premier League kind of striker,  he doesn't have the strength to withstand Premier League defenders,  he got no skills , no speed, and can't beat keeper one on one. He should leave Arsenal if possible,  beside Arsenal is not playing his kind for game, when he was in sporting they were feeding him with croses from the wing,  Arsenal like playing possession ball, that's why he has find so hard to adapt in the league.

This is still speculation, Arsenal might just keep him till the end of his contract, selling him now will cost Arsenal so much money. Arsenal still have to bring in new striker that will compete with him, by buying G.Jesus and G. Maltineli replacement in January time. Saka isn't in form ,you could see how they struggle against Nottingham forest. Arsenal have good defense and a great midfielders but poor attackers.
I do not subscribe to this opinion of him not suitable for the premier league, premier league is a physicality league, he has the body build for it and has better skills than Haaland, for speed Gyokeres is among the top five fastest players in the premier league. It's the coach that's not using him, I remember when Havertz came in newly, he was worse than Gyokeres but the coach kept on playing him till he is what he is currently, the problem is that, the coach is not using him, a player that gets a regular playing time will develop better than when his on the bench. Whenever his on the field, Arsenal plays as if they don't have a striker, they also don't cross or pass to him when needed, his good but Arsenal is not using him properly.

Gyökeres had performed very well at Sporting Lisbon. Thanks to this strong showing, he earned a transfer to Arsenal; however, he has struggled to deliver the expected level of performance there. Perhaps for this reason, he is currently being utilized as a substitute. Tomorrow, they will face Bayern Munich in Germany a major test for the team. Two of the four strongest sides in the Champions League are in action today, and the other two will face off tomorrow. If Arsenal can secure a win in this away fixture, they will gain a significant advantage in the league phase.

To be honest, I don't like Arteta's tactics and management very much. Although he is currently the most valuable and best coach in the Premier League, his tactics and management have many flaws. He is especially weak in building a balanced team and managing players properly. His team gives the most importance to the defensive players, the attack is very haphazard.
You may not like him and the way he set his team out, but the most important thing is that he is getting the results he wants, and majority of their fans love it, since it was enough to ends their trophy drought.
Quote
Viktor Gyökeres still has a long career ahead of him, if he doesn't get match time, it will definitely be negative for his career. It won't be surprising if he decides to transfer.
Viktor Gyökeres is truly a fine player that has a lot of time ahead of him, but it would have been better if he is patient, because this is just his second season, so his time will come, and when it comes, he should seize the opportunity, because looking elsewhere just after a season makes no sense at all.

That is true relying on a single striker is a major risk if that player gets injured, there is no one to fill his spot.
Indeed it is, but Arteta will just fill that spot with another midfielder [e.g., Mikel Merino].

Gyokeres and Havertz have different playing styles, where Gyokeres certainly looks like a natural striker , whilst Havertz more often plays as a false nine. Is this the reason why Arteta prefers Havertz to Gyokeres as a starter?
This is one reason, in addition to our wingers not feeding him well [I expect this to change when Tzolis comes back] and rarely getting good line-breaking passes from the midfield [nine times out of ten, they pass sideways]. Surprisingly, in a few games Arteta picked both at the same time, they seemed to have good chemistry.
- FWIW, I think if the situation doesn't change by the end of the year, I can definitely see him leaving for a fresh start.

We saw his performance while playing for Sweden during the FIFA international break, I was even thinking that he'll get more playing time with Arsenal after those impressive performances but it seems Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is more interested starting Kai Havertz ahead of him. If Viktor Gyökeres gets an offer from a top European club and decides to move, I won't be surprised. Before he came to Arsenal, he was one of the hottest properties in Europe, he can get himself back to that scoring form we saw at Sporting again.
Honestly I still can’t understand how Havertz is putting Gyokeres on the bench. Well at the end it all Arteta decision and so far he prefers to play Havertz up front. With the kind of season Gyokeres had at Portugal I think he will be looking for a move out of arsenal real soon. The things is sometimes even when Harvertz is unavailable or being sub Arteta still prefers to use a midfield player up front.

No one really thought Gyokeres will find life difficult like this in the premier league, he have everything to succeed in the premier league, he his physical, he his a proven goal scorer and also very good on the air. Well sometimes coaches makes life difficult for some players. I would prefer to see him leave Arsenal if this treatment continues.

Maybe he's not Arteta choice but influenced by the board or transfer team based on his form at Sporting the season before Arsenal signed cause I don't understand why a player signed for about £65m be given few minutes, it's so frustrating on the player cause he's in his prime and needs more playing time to do better in the EPL, I don't see why he'll prefer Havertz to a striker that's more natural.

The manager must have a personal issue with the player to favour others over him cause sometimes he prefers to use Moreno over him when Havertz is not available, it would definitely force Gyokeres to leave to somewhere he'll get playing time if it continues.

Gyokeres joined Arsenal with the hopes of winning the Premier League. Arsenal win the Premier League title in his first season at the club. Gyokeres is no more bringing the quality in the game like last season. He no longer score goals, in the international games he scored in all match. This guy is becoming flit at Arsenal,  they can accept a good offer from other clubs. Havert can do better than him on the pitch. i didn’t like him from the beginning.

Kai Havertz is a more better attacker than Viktor Gyökeres. Tell me how an attacker that's more expensive than Kai Havertz be kept on the bench? Gyökeres is not good enough for Mikel Arteta and that's why he's being consider as second option,  this is now room for Kai Havertz to level up and become the standing player for Arsenal.

Viktor Gyökeres is not even seeing playing minutes and sometimes when he come on from the bench, he doesn't even acknowledge what he played and have become a flop for Gunners. Mikel Arteta have tried giving the Sweden International countless chances but it seems he's not making any moves towards this chances.

The thing is, Gyokeres is a very static striker. He's a modern 9 and not the traditional type. And Arteta is a manager that prefers a traditional number 9 upfront, because they often drop deep to support the team. It's not like Gyokeres failed... The system wasn't just meant for him. Even if a player like Haaland joins them, there's still no guarantee that he will do well. Arsenal's football is a lot different from other teams Including Manchester city. I don't he will use the exit in January. Arteta still needs him, I believe.

Gyokeres has always been so clueless when he didn't get the pass from wingers. So sad Arteta's system seems not work to him well. I only hope Arteta to change his tactic sometimes to ensure he can utilize his natural striker better. Apart from that i actually agree with you he has to leave from the club if nothing changed to support him.

He's a good striker, but he's playing in a club with a bad system for him. He needs to play in the club that can feed their striker well. His price is also declining due to how poor his performance.

Aside from that i'm seeing a new rumor is circulating if Scott prefers to join Chelsea instead of Liverpool.

Although Chelsea is not in UCL, but their long term project sounds more promising with Xabi is in the club. So Chelsea can put less effort to sign him from Bournemouth while Liverpool can go to sign Camara from Benfica.  Grin

I also don’t like the way Arteta is treating Gyokeres honesty, a player with full talents and integrity that he can use to get results in some of their matches but he just prefers to bench him which is very wrong. Gyokeres is a good player whose commitment to Arsenal was already evident when he was the subject of a bidding war during that transfer window. Gyokeres’ performance early in his time at Arsenal fell far short of expectations. In 55 matches across all competitions, he scored only 21 goals. In the 2025–2026 Premier League season, he scored 26 goals in 36 matches.
If Arteta were treating Gyokeres unfairly, he would have benched him last season amid criticism of his performance; instead, Arteta turned a deaf ear to the criticism, ensuring Gyokeres earned the most starts as a forward.

With the Swedish national team, he is extremely sharp and remains the driving force behind their attack.
At Arsenal, he’ll have to work hard to earn a starting spot now that Havertz has regained his primary role under Arteta. Given Arsenal’s style of play, the role of the main striker doesn’t seem to be a priority.
