This news is really funny to me. It is really funny that a world class club is fined 602 euros for a clear crime and then appeals against that fine.

I agree with you that Carrick is the ideal person to lead the team successfully at the moment. He is being criticized a lot from the fans but the club authorities are not too upset about him, which may mean that he is not likely to be fired at the moment. The next matches are important but it would not be fair to expect quick success, yet Carrick will try to win but every position of the team is not in a good position, especially the defense situation has become weaker and the weakness of the midfield is obvious and the attack has been weak since the beginning of the tournament. You are right that the team needs a radical reform and that should be led by Carrick. Perhaps the club authorities will be positive about him.

Sometimes sacking of a coach is never the best option, so if the managers have seen where the errors is actually coming from, i don't think sacking Michael Carrick is the best option for Manchester United, rather the managers should put heads together in seeing how they can liberate Manchester United up more than the place they are right now, so Manchester United looking at the winter transfer window as the opportunity of making some reasonable changes that can make their defense look so strong because for a team to be strong enough, it means that they have a strong defense, so it is very important for Manchester United managers to look into that aspect.

I had to read and check several times to see whether the M (million) is omitted after the 602 but it wasn't an error. I clicked on the link referenced by the poster and it was actually 602 euros. Maybe independent body should step in to investigate the issue and probe all parties involved in this mockery. Yes, it's a mockery to the entire football system to fine a club like Barcelona with such a ridiculous amount. Even the poorest club in our local league can pay off that fine without feeling the impact. Barcelona are claiming they are innocent of the charges, hence they're planning to appeal to clear their name not because they can't afford to pay. I agree with @Ale88 on his reasons, it's really not about the money they are fined, even if Barcelona were still broke, it's still little which they could pay without any issues. They are appealing because they want to continue doing it over and over again. This is not the first time they are doing this but because they did it to a slightly bigger team, there are only 3 teams in La Liga that has financial backings which is Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid that's why they are dragging the case this far.

Bringing in estevao to replace kvaratskhelia is a rather inadequate move; there can’t be a player who can replace him because Kvara is unique in his qualities. If I were them, I would take the risk of bringing Neymar back, as he has technical qualities similar to those of the georgian and could be brought back to fitness in no time, or even Rashford from Manchester United. This is where our problem lies because a manager has only been in charge of the team for a few months, if you don't give him enough time, it will certainly not be fair to expect success from today. The team is at such a stage that Carrick became the head coach only a few months ago and he is still experimenting with the players and the defensive strategy was working great in the beginning. I also seen that the team drew more matches against the opposition than they had lost. In the beginning of the tournament I was hopeful about this performance of the team.

It all depends on the players, which is right, but instead of putting the responsibility on the players, we all put the responsibility on the manager because he is in charge of the team. It is the manager's responsibility to let each player play in the position he wants and to motivate them and he is also responsible for setting the strategy but if the players cannot make it work, the manager will have to take that responsibility.

It is highly unlikely that Alvarez will be moving to Barcelona, as Atletico Madrid are genuinely keen to let him join their rivals (and I think this may also apply to their other players). As we know , Atletico are not under any immediate financial pressure, so there is no reason for them to sell players simply to raise additional funds and besides, Atlético Madrid seem rather annoyed with the way Barcelona have been approaching their players unilaterally.

A move to Barcelona seems highly unlikely under the current circumstances especially since Barcelona has already signed a striker to fill that role Gabriel Jesus, brought in from Arsenal. It is improbable that Barca would spend additional funds on Alvarez. In my opinio, a better path for Alvarez would be to seek a move to another Premier League side, such as Chelsea or Manchester United such a move could help safeguard his future career.

There are criticisms, it's not something you can control, unfortunately if a coach doesn't win immediately especially in teams that are so important he is immediately criticized, but Carrick can't be the savior of his country, he must realize that he can't do everything alone, actually people must realize that it's not just his fault.
