I recently saw an interview Alvarez gave to Movistar at the end of October, after Atletico's victory over Deportivo, in which he scored the winning goal. During that interview, he publicly apologized to the fans. To sum up what he said, he regrets his comments during the World Cup about wanting to leave Atletico and join another club. Now his focus is on improving his game and becoming a better player together with Atletico. That's why I don't think he's currently considering a move to Barcelona.
Alvarez had no choice but to admit his mistake while his contract was still in force, of course, in order to survive and be accepted back by all parties, he had to apologize. I understood his interest at the time to leave because it coincided with an ideal moment, but as a club Atletico Madrid had the right to keep the player. Alvarez and Atletico Madrid problems could have been solved from the start if the player had been aware of his mistake.

Sometimes these players make tough choices based on the advise they get from their agent and loved ones, maybe the agent wanted to secure a better deal with another club and was pushing him to force a transfer knowing well that the deal he had with Atletico Madrid wouldn't allow him leave yet.

Well it's good they've settled their differences so he can play with a clear might and be in good relationship with his teammates and coaches at large. He's learnt his lesson that's what matters and other players who plan doing similar would learn from it too.

Manchester United and recycling ex players as interim managers are 5&6, like can't they just fix their mess and hire a suitable manager that would take the club back to what we know them for. They've turned the team to a mere joke a one time giant of England has suddenly turn to a team everyone can prey on, they're so messed up.
Real Madrid brought back Mourinho and no one complained, i will not forget David Moyes at Everton, he's in his second term at the club and has been managing the club for two years. It is not a problem if Manchester United decides to bring back whoever from the past, it shouldn't be seen as an issue.

If you think Manchester United's problem is only managers, then you don't know football, the players are behind the team's problem.
I don’t know why people are getting upset about the possibility of Manchester United hiring any of their former coaches to replace Carrick if eventually he got sacked. Maybe they don’t trust any of those managers because if they were that good they wouldn’t have got sacked by the club. I think whoever man united decides to bring to the club as manger should be someone who can give them the quick answer and result to their problems be it a former manager or not.

I believe we suffered a lot when Manchester United was dominating the Premier League for over a decade. This is the time for them to suffer, and I'm happy to watch them suffer. Manchester United should stick to Michael Carrick until my team gets to play them. We want to get the point from Manchester United just as every other club has successfully taken point off them.

Ole Gunnar has more experience than Michael Carrick. Not minding his shortcomings when he was at the club. I know that with his experience, he will do a better job than Michael Carrick.
I think the issue at Manchester United has gone beyond just sacking managers. in the last 5 years, Manchester United have hired and sacked more than 5 managers if I recall very correctly. So Sacking Micheal carrick might not even be the solution and I think the team management isn’t even considering going through that route of sacking any manager at the moment.

Ole Gunnar might be more experienced than Micheal carrick, but do you really think he’s going to be any way better at the club? I doubt honestly. Uptil now I’ve not seen anything wrong that Micheal carrick is doing at the club as a manager. I just feel like it’s the club that need a proper rebuild of players.

You are either an Arsenal, Liverpool or a Chelsea fan, I think it must have been Arsenal or Liverpool because if it's Chelsea, they didn't suffer, they won it. It's Liverpool that didn't win the league in all the year of Manchester United dominance, for Arsenal they won it as an unbeaten team then. Why do you think Ole Gunnar will do a better job than Carrick, Ole Gunnar had more financial backings form the management and Carrick doesn't have this same backings from the management to bring in the kind of players he needs to function with the team. I will have been blaming Carrick if he got what he wanted and the team is still like this, but he didn't, I cannot blame him only for the fault of the management and the player

If Manchester United decides to bring any of their former managers to the team, they are not serious. The owners are not ready to revive the team, they are just doing business which is the reason why they are not willing to take managers that will give them tough times and demand more money for signing players because that is clearly what the team need to perform well again.
I agree with this too. Bringing back any former manager doesn't make any sense to me. It's not as if the former coaches are doing good elsewhere, so why think of bringing any of them back? What are they expecting from them when they come? They can not do anything differently from what they've done before. It's either they do exactly as before or they make the situation worse than it is now. This reminds me of the coming back of Lampard at Chelsea for the second time after a poor experience at first time. Assuming some of them are doing good somewhere, I would have a different opinion but some of them are even jobless because no team is interested in them.

Michael Carrick will not get sack in the coming days because the board are yet to see a replacement for the manager. They want to secure a prominent manager before letting Michael Carrick go and they do not want to be left hanging on the corners. Manchester United are elite sides and they want to win games but their recent results is absolutely not helping matters. They're close to relegation zone and this is affecting their performance. I will say the Red Devils are yet to find their spark in games and the moment they do, we will see the overturn performance and it will be very outstanding.

If you think Manchester United's problem is only managers, then you don't know football, the players are behind the team's problem.
What if the problem is a complication starting from the quality of the players, the philosophy of the coach and also the Recruitment Management ? come on, we are realistic that I agree that some players have problems, do not meet the standards of what the coach wants, also the coach is also wrong because he applies a system that does not match the quality of the players, and the management of the club to the top level also played a role in the decline of the club. Evaluate the owner of the club and the people involved in determining the direction of the club, it is there that the roots of its problems can be found.

Michael Carrick is the next manager to get sacked. Yes/No

He's probably the next man to use the exit, but it's uncertain how soon that might happen because the board has already made it clear that he's still very much in charge. And this whole idea of sacking managers and replacing them every season is just a recycling strategy that hasn't worked for them in years, so it's obviously pointless. There's no crime in giving the man a chance to build a team for the future. He has shown United fans that he can actually compete, but I guess he needs more time to figure how to make it consistent.

And I'm seeing rumors from some people's reply that the Club wants to get a former United manager... Not sure of what exactly the board is hoping to achieve by doing that... Same recycling strategy.

Letting Espiritsanto go is something WestHam united ought to have done a long time ago especially after being relegated to the championship due to their poor run in the EPL.
After failing to escape relegation before the end of the season it was obvious that the Portuguese man couldn't stabilise the WestHam side and could have been layed off but the London club decided to retain him despite suffering severe decline in performance believing he would help improve things at the club due to his experience.

And now the club continues to experience continuous decline in performance in the championship forcing the management to consider the harsh option of sacking Nuno Espiritosanto.

I totally support the decision to sack Nuno Espirito Santo. Santo's past record was not good. He was totally failure with Nottingham Forest as well. I have no idea why West Ham appointed him. I could see this club currently sits 8th in Championship point table. Securing Premier League qualification with such performances is impossible.

But West Ham should have looked for experienced manager. So now they appointed 46year old Parker? I could see he is not experienced enough either. Previously, he managed club like Burnley and Bournemouth. And I have not seen anything impressive from Parker. Even after changing manager I do not think West Ham will see any remarkable improvement.

6 hours ago, West Ham sack Nuno Espirito Santo and are are expected to appoint Scott Parker as head coach after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo.

Westham United got relegated last season from the Championship. The 52-year-old Portuguese head coach has paid the price for West Ham's disappointing start to the Championship season, having overseen their relegation from the Premier League last season.

Michael Carrick is the next manager to get sacked. Yes/No
Nuno Espirito Santo is facing the bad time of his football managerial career; he used to be the best manager that rescue relegated teams, but everything has time and he couldn't succeed at West Ham despite his effort. He tried his best, but the premier league was very tough last season and Tottenham that was in the battle with them had more quality than West Ham, so the management signed De Zerbi to rescue the team and he did.

I believe that the main reason for sacking Nuno Espirito Santo is because of the poor start in the Championship because as a relegated team from the EPL, they are supposed to fight to get back immediately, but their own case was different, now they have sacked Nuno Espirito Santo.

About if Michael Carrick will be the next victim, I think yes because he has not improved the team, Manchester United is currently losing at Old Trafford against Roma in their Champions League game, I don't think the management will continue like this, they will have to settle him and find a quick replacement immediately because this is getting out of hand, Manchester United is losing all the credibility they had.

Sacking Carrick while keeping this same players, Manchester United are still not getting better, if the management thinks a different manager can use the same quad to compete, then they better do it earlier before it's late, Manchester United are on the verge of struggling among bottom clubs to escape relegation. Very common to see managers take the blame when players are not performing well, based on the fact, Carrick deserves to be sacked, too many losses in a stretch.

Though Nuno was one of the coaches that I noticed a few seasons ago when coaching Nottingham Forrest at that time but when the problems with Nottingham slowly the performance of both became destroyed only because of some problems and a big ego and now not only Nottingham whose performance is still not improving but Nuno seems to lose his touch as a coach.

It seems that the defeat of the WBA in the EFL continued yesterday made management unable to close their eyes again and want to find a new alternative to succeed West Ham because Nuno still has not given his best even though they are still one of the favorites should be in this competition.
But it feels a little bit too soon for me because looking at the performance compared to the beginning of the season (except the last 2 defeats) actually West Ham are starting to regain their rhythm but maybe 2 defeats in the last 2 games is difficult for the management to accept.

Since the departure of David Moyes from West Ham in May 2024, the club has employed and sacked four coaches. The club is not stable because of the constant change of managers. Sadly, Nuno Espírito Santo was not able to achieve positive results even in the championships. The club put its confidence in him based on his wealth of experience, but he failed them, as the club is in a bad position. Scott Porter has worked at some top clubs, which could be an advantage to West Ham. I hope he will motivate the players to pursue promotion to the Premier League.

Manchester United's win over Roma in the UCL has made Michael Carrick's future unpredictable. I believed that a loss today at Old Trafford would have led to his sacking. He might have convinced the club management to bear with him after this unexpected win. United was two goals down but was able to win the match.

Good heavens! This news has got nothing to do with the Premier league competition. You can just take shit to the Championship discussion section. Both managers sacked and employed are all in the Championship. I see no reason why you would relate every depressing news to Manchester United. Ohh yes, I do want to see him leaving Manchester United, but chill.  You can simply focus on seeing if Scott Parker qualifies them for the Premier League Competition next season. I thought Nuno Espirito would see that they return to the Premier League Competition though.

I’m struggling to understand what a hell has happened to the glorious Manchester United, watching them play like this is truly depressing and makes no sense. This evening they win for dignity but for 60 minute their game was horrible.
I don’t think Carrick is at odds with the players because he’s a Manchester United legend, but in the end he will go the same way as Solskjær. It’s unbelievable that in the post Ferguson era from David Moyes right up to now they haven’t got a single thing right. They could give Antonio Conte a go, but at this stage, with this United side, it would take a real miracle.

Michael Carrick pattern at Manchester United is not all that bad as we make it seem. I've watched the United game this season and I've seen the players missing big chances and also creating big chances, this was the winning they needed to bounce back and they did it against prime AS Roma.

Manchester United are definitely coming for everything they lost. Because tell me how a team like Manchester United lost their momentum this season and couldn't bounce back until going 9 games without a win.
