Sorry this is a really noob question but the site is so big to find an answer so I thought it would be quicker to post here. I have no bitcoins so I can't test this to find out.

What I want to know is say I have two addresses A and B. These are my addresses and I want someone to send bitcoins to me. So if a person sends 1btc to each of those two addresses can I tell on my bitcoin client which addresses they were sent to or will it just show up as one total?

Thanks

Yes the bitcoin client will tell you which keypair received the transaction. It even labels the entry with the friendly name you used.

You can also lookup the address of your wallet here :

http://blockexplorer.com/address/<ENTER WALLET ID>

to see your transactions.
