DO you know safe wallet for ltc and the other cryptos?

please visit the official litecoin website at https://litecoin.org/ and follow the links and instructions.

you can run a full node by downloading Litecoin Core. which means it will take up a longer time to sync and download the whole blockchain and will take up space on your HDD (not sure how big is the blockchain on LTC).

or you can use the SPV wallet called Electrum-LTC which is a lightweight wallet, only downloading blockchain headers which is a very small file. but you won't get the full verification.
bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/4649/what-is-an-spv-client
https://bitcoin.org/en/glossary/simplified-payment-verification

there is also wallets for cell phones.

what are these features? i keep hearing this about new features, but none seems to know, it's like they are making this up to pump the value

Take a look at the link below. It describes some of the new features SegWit will bring to LTC. The letter was written to miners by Charlie Lee not too long ago.

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/63cgfc/my_letter_to_chinese_miners_and_pool_operators_on/

so one fix is malleability issue, i wasn't aware that litecoin has this issue too, litecoin is not accepted like  bitcoin from merchants, so why they need this? confidential transactions sound interesting, it make bitcoin and litecoin both more anonymous without having the ring signature of monero or zero proof of zcash, this is a nice feature

Litecoin is a bitcoin clone with minor changes, instead of SHA-256 it uses scrypt and 4x coin supply, that's it.

Everything bitcoin has, litecoin also has.

Malleability fix will enable Lightning Networks and similar, which will enable L2, layer 2 will bring a lot of cool features like instant transactions, cross chain transactions efficient colored coins, this will make litecoin and eventually bitcoin a lot more valuable.

also 4 times faster block generation which means faster and more transaction but also at the same time more orphan rate and a 4 times potentially bigger blockchain.

but the best thing about all this is that if SegWit is activates on litecoin and is successful enough i think we can see some movement in bitcoin too. maybe this 30+% finally turns into something bigger.

WoW! Are you guys watching, just Wow!
So do I, but I don’t know for sure that LiteCoin will be pumped like everyone is saying.
However if SegWit and Coinbase do get added then I do see us getting a reasonable pump. Lets hope for the best, because I’ve got a few coins and I’m betting on a decent pump.

Yes, me too, and I think that Charlie Lee is wanting to do some things with it, to keep the currency going. He seems like a smart guy.

Don't get carried away by over evaluating Litecoin's growth prospect. Litecoin was always fast, had low fees and there is no need for any form of scaling upgrade.
Adding SegWit is not mandatory, it is additional feature not necessary upgrade needed for Litecoin to evolve. Let say it now: Bitcoin needs SegWit. Litecoin would be fine without it.
You are right but even then this move signals that LTC is moving forward with new technology even if it is not as necessary as it is in bitcoin and it give us the chance to see how segwit works under real world applications.

WoW! Are you guys watching, just Wow!

I'm not a litecoin hater, I respect all coins the same.

However right now there is in my opinion only one reason why litecoin is going up - that is because coinbase has accepted litecoin recently and there is a hype. Soon, the hype will die off, litecoin will either stabilise at a lower rate or crash.

If you are a litecoin bagholder, then i respect your decision. But personally I would never do that.

Coinbase is not the only reason. There are a lot of good things going on with LiteCoin, like segwit, the ln network and more. Please read up before you make such a blind comment. thank-you.

I just cashed out a bit of my LTC @ 21$, regaining all the money I put into LTC before the pump. I'll wait it out the rest of the way and see if this is just the beginning of the pump or the end; hopefully we're just beginning.

Well, bully for you, as they used to say.  But litecoin isn't exactly anything special in the altcoin world.  You could have metaphorically filled your pockets with Dash or many of the thousands of altcoins and still made a tidy profit.  Not to say that LTC isn't useful, but it is.  I just don't think it's living up to all the hype we've been getting.
Well, I did just recently completed a transaction with LTC and the fee was only 0.02$ (not to mention it's very fast). That's compared to BTC's 0.60$ fees; so yes, I do feel that alone is enough to keep LTC mainstream.

DO you know safe wallet for ltc and the other cryptos?
If you can run a full node just use the regular wallet; otherwise either the LiteCoin version of Electrum or a paper wallet with do.

For those who are looking for a safe wallet, I use Electrum-LTC-2.6.4.2.

Please make sure that you know how to use a wallet safely before you decide on sending a lot of coins to it.

Electrum is the wallet i used to use when holding for a long time. Recently i had a problem,i was holding some coins in their old electrum wallet and it was difficult for me to get the coins out of that wallet when i saw the price of litecoin booming,it was showing that i could not move the coins until i upgrade so i had to sweep the coins to another wallet and what i really do not understand is that why is it impossible to send the coins for me in the first place.
