If bitcointalk.org does not load normally for you and you have a Linux machine available, it would be helpful if you would do the following:

 - Undo anything you did to enable connectivity, such as VPNs or host-file changes.
 - Run traceroute -T bitcointalk.org
 - Run curl ifconfig.co to get your IP address.
 - PM me the output of both of those commands. Note that I will share the output with the forum's ISP.

I get this result when I run this command:

The -T option is specific to the Linux version of traceroute, which is why I mentioned needing a Linux machine. It uses TCP SYN packets instead of ICMP packets. Maybe there are ways of doing the same thing on your version, perhaps by using the -P option.

The first command gets the steps your internet connection takes in order to reach bitcointalk.org. The second command gets your IP address. As long as your internet configuration is properly bridged in virtualbox, it should be fine.

Don't think you can use traceroute command on windows anyways.Also your issue seem like you can't do anything from your end as that problem usually occurs when forum is being ddosed,at least in my case.

On windows do the following> open command prompt, type

and wait 2-3 minutes to complete then type

ipconfig/displaydns

and then send both results to admin make sure to run the command prompt as administrator.
