Hi,
I have been working on blockchain based crowdsource platform. The idea is to provide tools for easy implementation of crowdsourcing for any project. Blockchain should guarantee safe smart contracts, proof of contribution and decentralization.
Current problem of participating in any crowdsource or open source project is: you contribute and you're done. I feel that founders of some projects would like to pay contributors with tokens of that projects. If project becomes valuable, tokens gain value and your contribution gets real worth.
This platform can be applied in many areas.
Any open source projects Project owner can issue tokens for project and pay it for valuable pull-requests. Project may become commercial and tokens will get price. Project may be open source and free and tokens will get value with project audience growth.
Collaborative maps People submit edits to maps and business listings and get tokens for that. Once this map or database becomes monetized, contributors obtain real value. Can sell tokens or exchange.
Collaborative data mark out Data preparation for Machine Learning algorithms is pain, but necessary. If you help, you get tokens. Once technology is used anywhere, your tokens gain valuation.
Also collaborative translations, volunteering and so on. Terms like salary or job potentially can be redesigned with this approach.
Personally I worked for well-known maps company and managed product, where we used crowdsourcing. For example, our users totally altruistically marked more than 1 million unknown phone numbers with labels. I'm wondering what we might get if we had offered tokens for people contribution.
Now I have a great team of engineers with hands-on experience of high-load products. We gonna build such platform, but firstly I would like to get feedback from BitcoinTalk community.
What do you think, guys? Can this be valuable?
