French Elections - 1st Round finished

The results for the first round that took place yesterday was the following:



The second round should be on 7th May, 2017 with Macron vs Le pen. I believe that the results will be the same as the U.S, just like Trump won, Le pen will too as they somehow share the same thoughts, what do you guys think?

It will be almost impossible for Le Pen to win, as Melanchon and Fillon have declared that they will support Macron. Also, the situation in France is different from the POTUS elections of 2016. In the US, it was a two-way contest between Trump and Hillary. But here, it was a four-way race between Macron, Le Pen, Fillon, and Melanchon.

Macron will be the winner, but if the turnout is really low, then Le Pen can win as much as 40% to 45% of the votes. If she gets close to 45%, then that will be like a political earthquake in France. And the integrity of the European Union will be questioned, as this election comes just a  few months after Norbert Hofer won 49.7% of the votes in the Austrian presidential elections.

The first round of elections ended up expected and in second round it will be very difficult for Le Pen to win because Melanchon and Fillon support Macron.They are only in this election to ensuring Macron win agains Le Pen,and if you can win alone you need some friends to help you.In this way they want to make sure that Le Pen can not win.If that happened France would probably become big problem for the EU considering La Pen political attitudes.

It is going to be quite tough for Le Pen, but I suspect that the turnout will be really low in the second round. The leaders of the mainstream parties can gang up against Le Pen, but don't expect every one of their supporters to cast their vote for Macron. But I have no doubt that Macron will win the second round. Le Pen didn't performed in the first round as expected.

Frankly, I do not see Marine Le Pen winning. Just look how everyone in the country called to vote for Macron, including Fillon, which do not like him very much ! I guess there will be something like 60% vs 40% in favour of Macron.

It's pathetic how these people exploit tragedies for their own benefit.  Most of the terrorists in the French terror attacks were born in France but she plays on racism to potentially get her 40% of the vote.  Really is insane.

It seems to me that we all see based on their interests. We don't know what motivates his choice by the French. Throughout the world there is a bias towards populism. For this reason, there is the global crisis not only in economy but also in politics.

Le Pen is the only one who has concrete plans to stop the terrorist attacks. She is wise enough to realize that Islam is the root cause behind the terror attacks, and inviting Muslim immigrants in to the country is not the best thing to do when you are suffering from terrorism. The others, such as Macron and Fillon are pandering to radical Muslims, and they refuse to condemn the terrorists.

Considering that half of the Fillon's votes should go to Macron, or about 10%, you are at 59%. And here you are, with a Macron president.

And in two weeks there will not be any attack anyway.

I totally agree with you. Change the situation can only hard intervention of Russia, but now all of this is followed and it will be very difficult. It seems to me that the Russian has, too, admit it. I wonder how Marie Le pen will settle with Putin for the money that he took?

Macron will win, and there is no doubt about it. But your stats are flawed. You are assuming that everyone who turned up to vote for Mélenchon and Hamon are going to do the same during the 2nd round. I don't think so. Mélenchon is far-left and his supporters are not that excited about Macron. A large part of the leftist voters are going to abstain from the 2nd round.
