I have MSI 580s running on standard firmware, didn't need to modify the bios. Managed with the right script after few hours of tuning to get constant 580Khs and 28Mhs. Fan running at 55%, temp not going above 60C.
Honestly I prefer running on factory firmware with fine tuning.

@Apprentice, would you mind posting (or PMing) the specific settings/script you used to get these performance metrics?

Thanks

I would like to see that as well. Is it 8GB card? Power consumption? Share your findings with community.

Need more information. If you have Samsung memory you can copy the 1750 straps to 2000 using polaris bios editor. There is a version that works with the 5XX series, the normal version will show weird values for the timings. A simple Google search should be able to find it.

You can also use ubermix timings. I hear 2.3 is the best for the 5XX series. Google for those as well.

I have tried 1425-1750 straps.  I am using 1750 modified with doreymills script.

Bios has 1200mhz set to 975mv.  I'm seeing 0.943 dual mining right now.

10 hour run time. Rarely ever below 30/900 unless I use my pc/accidentally bump into my desk and activate my monitor from power saving mode.

Will put together a 6 and 7 gpu rig with these cards soon, I'm just testing them in my desktop at the moment (1 at a time). ASIC quality of this card is 69%

GPU-Z says 145W

Guys, are you editing the "2:" straps too? Why, when all the tutorials only say to copy 1:1750 to 1:2000?

I'm actually getting the same problem, after flashing a modified BIOS hashrate stays the same, it's like nothing happened.

Yes, you copy paste to both 1750 and 2000.It depends on either 4 gb or 8 gb model.
