I know I can use Poloniex as a mixer to prevent anyone I send BTC to from knowing all of my transaction history but the BTC withdrawal limits there can be a problem. Can Coinbase be used as a mixer in the same way and is there a limit on BTC sends at Coinbase? I know there is a buy/sell limit there but I can't find anything about a send limit.

You can use any exchange as a mixer, provided that you don't register with your full name and never deposit or withdraw fiat. It's not as good as using a dedicated mixer and you have to watch out for sudden dumps, but should work. The limits are usually quite high so it shouldn't bother you unless you're trying to mix some big money.

You could in theory, but I wouldn't advise it. You'd be better off just putting your coins through a trusted mixer regularly and then sending it from your own address - you really don't need to do much more than that, especially with Coinbase who have been known to freeze accounts at a moment's notice for any kind of suspicious activity.

Do any exchanges link deposits to withdrawals? Or they all send deposits to a communal wallet?
Does Coinbase have any limit on sends?

Using Coinbase as a mixer implies you might be doing things with coins that'll inspire them to freeze you anyway. If it's purely just to break the traceable chain I'd be looking at places that are less uptight just in case. I'd be doing it properly with Bitmixer myself. Do any exchanges link deposits to withdrawals? Or they all send deposits to a communal wallet?

On Poloniex at least I've had the same deposit address all the way through which is individual. The outputs haven't been linked to it. Dunno about Coinbase limits.

Make an anonymous account on BTC-e and use that. Never know who coinbase might share your info with.

I don't think there's any significant send limit, or I can't find it anyway. The chance of Coinbase freezing your account for potentially manipulating them is well above nothing. Then again, if you're only leaving the Bitcoin for one transaction in there at a time, it's probably worth it anyway. I doubt that it's easy for anyone except Coinbase and governments to track your transaction history. Poloniex still seems like a more reliable option though, especially since they're solely an exchange so they have no fees (I think Coinbase introduced some recently).

I'd say Coinbase would be very attuned to weird behaviour. Your average exchange won't give a shit where Coinbase might. There are far less anal options that can do the exact same thing.

Why use Coinbase as an only option? It would be better to have lots of option so that it will be more difficult tracking you transaction. But if you ask me I would rather use the mixing services like bitmixer, bitblender and other legit services since they are actually for that kind of stuff. You may pay a bit extra but that won't cost you that much. Besides you only need to send your BTC once and the mixing service provider will send it to the designated address.

Make an anonymous account on BTC-e and use that. Never know who coinbase might share your info with. Yup BTC-e is a truly anonymous exchange that doesn't require you to share personal information and doesn't provide any for you. Some people don't like that, because they might one day close down and run with the money, but I don't have anything against them. They've been around for many years and have an established position on the market. As for the coins on exchanges, even if they go to a separate client wallet someone will eventually get your coins, so on the blockchain it will look like you've send to another client's address and another client send his coins to you, so you'll eventually end up with the same number of coins but coming from a different source. This is one of the reasons there was a discussion about tainting stolen coins.

If you are really looking for privacy you must use a legit bitcoin mixer rather than using exchanges and web wallets as you never know what their stand is against using their services as mixers, why the hurdle when you have legit mixers who could safe guard your privacy.

You might be able to use Coinbase like a mixer, it's been a while since I've used them but I do believe that the outgoing addresses are different than the incoming ones so I would not be surprised if it can be used like a mixer anyway. I do not believe there is a send limit on Coinbase, and unless they added one over the past year or so I never experienced any issues with sending funds out. I think they let you do all of that freely, which is expected at this point.

besides a specific mixer service deduct quite huge fee , especially when you do a large amount transaction. and also he said didn't trust mixers service . and i think every exchange wouldn't link the deposit address to the withdrawal address , so far i used poloniex and bittrex and looks like nothing linked , just the withdrawa limit really annoying , unless if you want to upload a lot of documents there which i think you wouldn't do it.

I think Coinbase isn't a good option if you want to use them as a mixer. Coinbase tracks all transactions, they don't allow transactions from/to gambling websites and etc. Coinbase may lock account with all funds and ask for ID verification. If you need service, which can be used as mixer, I think that you need to search for something else, because Coinbase isn't a good choice.

I wouldn´t recommend Coinbase for that, if they see that you deposit coins and then you withdraw them immediatly they are going to suspect something is wrong. I don´t know if their withdrawals are manual or automatic, if they are manual the chances of your account being suspended and your funds frozens will be higher.
I've always been one to think about why people even trust Coinbase if they'd want to be doing some shady shit, personally I wouldn't even trust coinbase if I was doing completely legal dealings because they're the paypal of Bitcoin and would be very quick to just go ahead and shut me down. But yes, you probably would get your account suspended easily if you tried to use them in order to mix coins- so I would be sitting here completely advising against it cause they'd probably just seize the coins and theres not much you can do. Once they have the keys, they have the coins. Hope more and more people will come to this realization and notice this.

Coinbase only freezes accounts for two reasons: We are required to comply with an order from a court or other authority that has jurisdiction over Coinbase which compels us to restrict access to funds. We are required by law to freeze or block assets in compliance with a sanctions program, including, but not limited to sanctions programs administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1905680-does-coinbase-freeze-accounts-I don't see how I could have a problem if I'm not doing anything shady and only looking to protect my privacy.
