Hi,
Does anyone know when BTC mining difficulty will double?
Also, when it happens, if the S9 is hashing at 13 TH/s, would it basically drop to 6 TH/s when the difficulty doubles?
Thanks!

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

You can look here to see if you can predict when it will double: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficultyAt the bottom of the page is the historical difficulty numbers. You can try to extrapolate from those numbers.

When the difficulty has doubled, you will mine half of what you currently mine.

Hashing rate stays the same, it just becomes more difficult to solve a block. But effectively, yes, mining at double the difficulty in the future would be like mining at half the hash rate now.

You can't accurately predict the future mining difficulty because it's largely based on the price, which is also unpredictable.
The best you can get is analysing the charts from before, provided that you consider the price won't rise so quickly and the difficulty won't either - you also need to consider Moore's law and how ASICs develop along with it.

Miner hashrate doesn't actually drop, but the effectiveness of your hashrate IS theoretically halved. Difficulty increases are difficult to predict due to a number of factors like miner production as well as the profitability of mining. It's also good to note that difficulty does not increase linearly by any means, so lots of estimators will be incorrect.

it depend on the value there isn't a way to predict, if the value remain stagnant the diff will remain there or increase slowly, otherwise you can have a 4x like this year if bitcoin skyrocket so much
there were also cases where the diff retreat back, and no your asic would still hashing at 13TH but would earn half of before
