Think about it, individual can open website anonymously with Bitcoin (Domain, and hosting provider) and start selling illegal stuff for Bitcoin. In the worst case scenario internet providers will block the website. Why we see those things just on the Darknet ?

One of the reason why we see those illegal stuff on darknet because it is not censored. Almost all users there are either using tor or vpn (hiding their own IP). Government are having difficulty in tracking people who are using it since almost all people account there are anonymous and not linked to their personal identity.

What? They will fucking arrest you no matter what you do. Darknet markets have been seized by the FBI many times and arrests have been made, and you suggest selling drugs on the open net? You think that measly whois protection, offshore hosting and Bitcoin will protect you? The federal agencies will literally sniff you out in minutes. Also Darknet markets don't sell the illegal stuff themselves, they're platforms for other people to sell on.

I think OP is not suggesting anything, he is just wondering why illegal stuff are on Darknet and continue to be sold there. If FBI are that precise then we should have not seen much of sell offs in that market. But it is still thriving. So I guess FBI failed to do their job in sealing that internet side.

lol, my thoughts exactly. It's the same reason why you can't buy a gun at a gas station. It's fucking illegal to do so. This is what lauda refers to as a cancer thread. It's a silly question/topic that sucks in the signature shitposters. And this one has an answer that's obvious to anyone with two neurons wired together.

measly whois protection not, but incorrect personal information do. Gold world! However you can be anonymous but not Untraceable. Simply viewing a web page with your screen size, you can be add to a list that has that screen size, with some trick you can view the percentage of battery discharging (discover model ecc ecc) and be filtered with the previous list. The user agent of your browser (version SO and other stuff) talk a lot about your system, and in a lot of site you can we passible of XSS and get webdata stoled. Be careful when you are playing games like this

To OP, Darknet is not the "only" place where you buy illegal stuff — maybe it is the only place online. Illegal stuff can also be bought from local individuals/dealers, which is much easier, non-fraudulent, less costly, time saving, and safer (depending on the country, of course). And the dealers are using 'Darknet' because of anonymity. They won't deal on our 'clean' Internet.

If you try to sell those things through normal means there is a very, very high chance that they're going to get caught and everything that they're doing will get shut down, and they will get thrown in jail. It's not like someone can just google "illegal guns" and not have someone looking at their browsing history. Drugs, guns and everything else that is unsavory is on the darknet because of the relative safety it provides. While it doesn't always keep the consumer safe, the producers and sellers are able to move their products mostly safe from the eyes of the government.

You can buy things with Bitcoin using TOR and a VPN on the surface net, but the thing is that's not whose using the security nets. The people selling their stuff want to keep themselves safe and if they try to sell on websites that are accessible with anything, the US government (or interpol or whoever) is going to show up and shut them down. Silk road, a large marketplace on the deep net, was shut down by the US government. It would have been shut down in a span of a month had it not had the multiple layers on top of it.

Because the clearnet is traceable. Your IP can reveal where you live, and most domain registrars maintain a KYC (Know your customer) policy, requiring either identity or phone number or address verification. On the darknet you can easily create a domain and host it 100% yourself anonymously.

Correct, not only in Darknet they can transact illegally but most of them choose Darknet because of its "anonymity" but still its not totally safe for them because there are also law enforcers monitoring it but at least more secure to those who are doing illegal compared to the usual internet.Fraud people will always find any means to deal their illegal stuff whether in Darknet or in traditional way.

Just consider the darknet market as the down town illegal market down the ally where you can get every goods possible, everybody knows that you could get anything including guns and drugs and even the officials knows that and once in a while you will see some raids being conducted ,usually these raids will be carried out only in case when they are attracting more notoriety. Why you cant see those sites in the open ,is mainly because no service provider will be allowing to host these contents as it will be a head ache for their business and could attract legal issues.

no if you really think about it you will see that it is not a good idea to use a currency that is not anonymous to buy illegal stuff and in real world people use cash to do this instead and trade in a dark alley in a van and as far as online goes they use a real anon coin such as Monero to do the trade in Darknet. with that said, people do all kinds of crazy things. nobody can stop them. there is no why in my opinion. they think it is anonymous, they do it and get caught. and it is not "just" on darknet as i said

Buying those stuff with cash i think it's safer because of cash is more untraceable, but once again it depends on the country, in my country many people here buy drugs using cash so far it's safe, well i'm just wondering is it hard to access the darknet? I'm not familiar with it, i don't have any experience with the darknet before, however using Darknet is a good option in order to increase the anonymity even though used bitcoin or monero the real anonymity coin as a payment method, they're just protecting themselves.

It is common sense, criminals are always trying to be one step ahead of the authorities, the darknet offers the possibility to surf as anonymously as possible on the internet and when you add bitcoin to the mix, a currency that cannot be confiscated then it is no wonder you see those services and products on the darknet

Everywhere the necessary steps were taken to avoid illegal use of things that are listed by the ruling government. So such stuffs can never be traded in the local market as the people involve too expectan anonymity which these days is provided much by bitcoin.

Why illegal stuff such as drugs, weapons etc can buy only through the Darknet ? bold part is wrong. Darknet is only one of the many options and in fact it is the smallest market to buy illegal stuff. Think about it, individual can open website anonymously with Bitcoin
wrong again. bitcoin is not giving you anonymity. it gives some level of anonymity but not as much as you think can protect anyone if they start an illegal business on the darknet. specially if it gets big enough to attract attention from certain 3 letter agencies (Domain, and hosting provider) and start selling illegal stuff for Bitcoin. In the worst case scenario internet providers will block the website.
they usually do some stuff that i am not going to get into to prevent their website getting blocked. Why we see those things just on the Darknet ?
that is a different question. and the answer is because it is called Darknet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darknethttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_web

The Internet and the technologies in this Age is very powerful, and the bad people are using the internet in the wrong way, the black hats and the one who is selling illegal stuffs on the Dark Net, they are confident on surfing and buying stuffs there because they are using the anonymous browsers and VPN to hide their real IP Address, and the reason why they are selling this kind of stuffs is because obviously this is illegal and you can't sell it on the normal market, that is why.

The Darknet is supposed to be a anonymous environment where criminals could flourish, but most of the exit nodes on Tor is infiltrated by the law enforcement agencies. They allow this to continue, because this is a good way to track and trace criminals without having to go to too much trouble. < getting warrants and breaking down doors > The ~DarkNet~ is the ideal Honey trap for criminals and a law enforcement offices wet dream come true. ^smile^

If that's the case, they would simply make their own online store, making an online isn't taking that much resources and rather cheap. But, the main problem is how to be sure both of buyer and seller will always feel safe when making a transaction, so they've come to the solution to sell it in the dark web which is "under surface". And, some people said that VPN is not enough to surf the dark web, just don't go there if you want to be safe.

I think this question is nonsense because if illegal things are available in the regular market or even in the surface web then it will be not successful and they will not make any profit from their products because the authorities or the police will chase and arrest the owner or the seller. Those illegal stuffs are available in the dark net because that is only where it is hard to trace by the authorities and almost all the people there are also doing illegal stuff so it is a match and easy to make profit.

Think about it, individual can open website anonymously with Bitcoin (Domain, and hosting provider) and start selling illegal stuff for Bitcoin. In the worst case scenario internet providers will block the website. Why we see those things just on the Darknet ?
I think @OP is a young one and cannot understand how internet and bitcoin works. Assuming that someone opens a site in the clearnet selling illegal stuff. How easy is for authorities from your ip address to find out your real identity? Moreover assuming that you are very lucky and the prosecution authorities will not charge you. Do you believe that if you transact with bitcoin your payments are anonymous? Wrong; because bitcoin is only pseudonymous.

As you said it yourself, these products are illegal to sell. So if you do sell them on the open web you gonna get caught by authorities. thus, sellers tend to hide their information by using "darknet" to sell such products online without getting themselves in to too much trouble

^smile^ Ok, so it's not as much as secure as it used to be... Well, good for them!

In fact, the dark web is a fraud. It is a showcase for special services and if you are trading something illegal you will always get caught if you want. When there was no Internet and bitcoin guns and drugs were sold in the same volumes. Just need to know where to look.

Because if you were to sell cocaine or heroin or assault rifles on a regular website the person hosting the market would get busted. Look at the sentence Rob from silk road was handed. It would have been more humane just to put him down. No one wants to spend the rest if their lives in prison.

Any nastiness I can now buy with the help of the Internet and it's all available due to the fact that there is no normal control over the turnover of arms and drugs if this continues to happen the world will be lost.

Well first of all its because Darknet is not place for everyone, and its not that much safe if you don't know what to do. And also because its dark side of internet . But you can buy stuff from people in real life as good as from darknet. Difference is that, that you don't have to meet person over darknet to do a transaction. And bitcoin, well there are ways that bitcoin is almost untraceable, and its cryptocurrency that belongs to no one, and it have good value.

I don't know how many users use dark markets to purchase drugs, weapons and other banned substances. But I am sure that the number is much lower than those who purchase it from mafia members, using banknotes.

I agree with you. If you buy something illegal on the Internet the seller is always asking for an advance payment. How can you give a stranger money? What if he's a fraud? But if he is not a scammer and not a quality product? No I'm never going to buy anything illegal online.
