The Open Transactions related topics in Alternative clients have been moved to the Project Development forum.  This move is reasonable in itself, however the Project Development is much larger, and the OT related topics are getting lost easily.

Can we please have a Open Transactions sub-forum within the Project Development forum.  I am willing to moderate it.

Otherwise, maybe a generic 'Software' sub-forum would work.  Grin

One off NP-Hard.

OT is unique, in that it it can claim none of the features of Bitcoin, but is extensible for many different applications. Some links/posts/comments need a repository for developers that are tying OT servers to altcoins or Bitcoin apps.

I support this ... moving it from alternative clients is misguided actually since OT clients can easily be used as bitcoin client. I.e. Multi-bit extension, Moneychanger's bitcoind accessing wallet, etc.

Smiley I think that having an Open Transactions sub-forum would be great!

Since the latest post from FellowTraveler: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212490.0 I think that this topic has become a whole lot more relevant to the Bitcoin community.

One off NP-Hard.

How many new posts are there per day that would fit into this section?  Providing links is a good way to show that a new section is necessary.

The point for creating a subforum is the network effect.
This is especially true in case this topic does not yet attract too many posts.
And thus it might become buried within the noise on the developer forum.

See the Holy Grail thread as a point of reference. It has attracted > 200 Posts in just one week. This clearly underpins the relevance.
Of course, such a movement could as well live within a single thread, but this defeats the usability, since various sub-topics get intermingled.

Bottom line: ACK for creating a subforum

I would assume as many as the MultiBit, or Electrum forum.

I would be very appreciative of an Open Transactions subforum!  Open Transactions, and the bitcoin integration development going on are some of the most exciting things happening on the forum.  It would be nice to see everything in one place...and I would agree that this facilitates the network effect.

Please, please do this!

This should be done. Makes keeping track of things much easier.
