with intensity at 19, don't you get a high count of hw?  I see hw goes up when intensity > 12.

mm not really. One card, card 1 gets hw errrors but not many, card 0 gets none.

Code:
 [P]ool management [G]PU management [S]ettings [D]isplay options [Q]uit
 GPU 0:  70.5C 3406RPM | 399.0K/400.4Kh/s | A:6920 R:77 HW:0 U: 4.99/m I:19
 GPU 1:  71.5C 3311RPM | 400.5K/400.1Kh/s | A:6859 R:83 HW:1 U: 4.95/m I:19

keep in mind that setting -I too high will increase desktop lag, (may) increase number of stales, and (may) decrease hashrate.

https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/SCRYPT-README
Code:
The
reason this is crucial is that too high an intensity can actually be
disastrous with scrypt because it CAN run out of ram. High intensities
start writing over the same ram and it is highly dependent on the GPU, but they
can start actually DECREASING your hashrate, or even worse, start producing
garbage with HW errors skyrocketing.

I run at -I 15 and I get no HW errors.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Yes, I don't get any desktop lag, as I use my intel graphics hd 2000 as my dedicated source for desktop.

I'm jealous, my junky ATI 5850's that I pick up for cheap a couple of months ago - I can only OC the RAM by 60 MHz, core 140 MHz; have hw errors when intensity > 12.  I tried driver 12.6, 12.8, 13.x, not much difference.  Overvolt helps a little but runs very hot.  Currently stuck doing bitcoin mining.

Which driver is the best for litecoin mining?

Depending on the card I suppose. But I liked 13.2 Beta 7 a lot, and when I switched over to 13.5 beta 2, I didn't notice any hash rate difference between the two for my 5850's.
