are you guys getting refunds totally giving up on buying any more avalon chips, or are you considering looking into different options?
i have a few chips in the first group buy and was hoping to get in on this once it got closer to completion, but its looking like that won't happen.
sadly my 5 or 7.5 BTC contribution won't be nearly enough to make a difference, so just wondering what you guys are thinking.

I am bummed out and I don't understand why this group stalled. I think this was the least costly for US buyers and I didn't see any trust issues.

I was just about to put in an order for 128 chips too . Those of you in the US who are still planning on buying, what other options are you looking at?

It seems that all of the group buys have slowed down not just this one.

Too bad it didn't work out :/ Please refund to 18EFZ4c5vXyhq66Rqty3CozgeUKc3cHeqm (5.44btc as shown in the spreadsheet + 2.61btc that was never updated = 8.05 btc) (transaction id for the 2.61btc purchase: 8d35f0a3ac54855facf55f748f2ee0929a55cd772584eb155fa8dcbfb1d3d1d8 )
Thanks for your effort either way!

Refund received.
As to the speculation regarding why is stalled out, it's hard to say. I think part of it had to do with the drop in Bitcoin value making people nervous, part of it was probably the many, many other buys that popped up elsewhere diluting the buying power. Part of it may have been people getting nervous at how many chips have been sold, speculation about rising difficulty with the coming of ASIC products from BFL and ASIC Miner...
Probably a combination of all of the above. I'm bummed. I was hoping to have more chips, but I'll be okay with the few chips I got from the first order.

Is there another group buy that's more hopeful?

Ragingazn628, I inquired in steamboat's groupbuy about the possibilities for a) fast, local (to group-buyer) production of mining boards, and b) hosting options (by group-buyer).
For me, if you could address those two topics above, I'd be very interested to join your group buy, and maybe others would be, too.
Thanks.
EDIT: s/group-buyer/you/

Shame this one stalled, I had 5 or so BTC I was trying to get setup to boost my measly 13 chips I ordered from the first group buy. Not nearly enough to make a difference...
Hopefully another local one crops up to hop into.

Is there another group buy that's more hopeful? There is another group buy which is really interested as it is based in asia. So when you order your chips you can get them mounted and than shipped https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187457.0Get in!
