Speculators are going ape shit on a rally. Remember in 2010-11 when speculators blew gold up from $1,050 to over $1,900, then it went right back down to $1,050? When you look at the Bitcoin price think gold 2.0.

Not sure about that, gold has been around & been traded for centuries. Bitcoin is relatively new & has a far, far higher potential for huge growth than gold.

You don't get his point. It's the speculation that's the main driver for the price as Bitcoin is still a speculative investment option. In that regard, despite the potential that Bitcoin has, the price can easily go down HARD as easily as it goes up HARD. Bitcoin is basically Gold 2.0, and both assets are being used to hedge whatever people think will make them lose out big time. In case of Bitcoin, many aspects offer speculators a massive feeding ground.

Wow, an intelligent poster on this forum!   I may have a heart attack from the shock.

Now could you imagine SW activated bitcoin and miners able to include double the current transactions and even more into each block?
I think it's safe to say we definitely need SW to be activated after seeing what kind of people are supporting BU, for me now everything they have ever said about SW and what it does and what it doesn't is nothing but lies.
only if those pools which are currently mining without signaling for any of the available proposals start signaling for SW I bet we could see $1500 by the end of May.

Bubble woo hoo!
Every price increase is a bubble and every drop is a burst and as far as economics and trade goes it was like that for centuries and what is special now in the price of bitcoin is that traders are positive with the review of SEC and so we are seeing another bull run which is able to break new records and looking at this rally i can very well say that it will cross $2000 if ETF is approved.

To be honest, last time I have heard from many people that they expect the bitcoin bubble to pop once again.
I could not believe such a predictions, but I have to say that after this strange and fast price increase from 1250$ to 1377$ (All-time high) Im not sure if I have not changed my mind.

Personally, I think that BTC is currently overvalued. It is because there are way too many problems with the working of network. In the event of a really big spam attack, you can pretty much cluster the network so hard that it is not going to be useful for anyone.
With a big amount of users, the thing will be the same. We need solution, then we should think about achieving higher and higher prices.

I still believe bitcoin will attain another ATH in just a short period of time.  There is a promising development coming this June.  Smart contract for bitcoins.  This will surely create another hype after this review of SEC which probably will not change anything at all.  Aside from that some state is considering bitcoin as money, if i recall it is West Virginia.

Don't know exactly which exchange to look at as far as the price goes.  My little cell phone wallet uses Bitstamp, and right now it's at $1349, but some people are saying it's way over that.  This is like Mt. Cocks in 2014 all over again.

When we get to $1400, then we'll throw a party, eh?  The thousand marks are the milestone ones.

It's kinda near that target since according to preev.com the price is 1393 US Dollars which is I hope will continue to head to new all time highs and not dump that easily. If you don't know exactly which exchange to look when price is concerned I think it is better to look in preev because it shows the average of what bitcoin price really is now. I always use it because the bitcoin wallet I use shows the local currency conversion of bitcoin to Philippines.

Try looking at coinmarketcap. It gives a weighted average price across exchanges. And it excludes exchanges which have zero transaction fees.
The price is well and truly over $1400. You can start your party.

Well uh, 1400 isn't a thousand mark. Thousand marks are 1000 2000 3000 and so on. A 1400 would be a hundred mark lol. Anyway let's throw a party at every 500 mark, so the next being at $1500  Cheesy

Yeah, the price in most of the exchanges is just an average and just the bitfinex has quoted a big variation in price. On this I believe it's good to concern on the exchanges that provide the best out of it as bitfinex is encountering few flaws and withdrawal suspension.

The price right now of bitcoin is at 1488 US Dollars according to preev and it seems like the 1500$ mark might be reached tomorrow or in the coming days before saturday unless there will be a dump that will happen that is more likely to happen soon specially now that the price is high. I just really do hope no dumps will happen in the next few days until saturday.

I hope it will be cemented in $1300.
If that is true that the ETF thing is the real reason behind then I think it is good. But arent there any more reson?
Something like we are growing in numbers of users or maybe a lot of investors are coming? Could also be some owners use bitcoin as a means of payment for their advertisements.
How could it be just that one reason?

I believe that bitcoin will reach $ 1500 in the next few days, and then there may be a price reduction. A decrease in should sometime happen for balance.

There is a slight decrease in price that happened today but for now it is still continuing it's upward movement again. The price of bitcoin right now is 1450 US Dollars and let's hope this rise continues for now and if price really continued to go upward in the next few days, we would see 1500 US Dollar price in the next few days and if not, we might see lower prices than 1400 US Dollars.

And from what such jumps of the price in the market can depend? Or are they manually adjusted? Just do not understand why and why. In summer there may be a generally strong decline due to holidays.
