Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Don't angel investors usually fork up pre-ipo money?

I think it's just too early for such service, that's why it wasn't created yet. Now it's time of exchanges/etc, the core stuff of the currency, and the next step will be angel investment. So if you start it now, you will be the first with the best reputation, and recognizable. Good luck!
P.S. Nice to see you here!

I'm interested, yet I've always been skeptical about angel investors. Is it a fact that the investors will get at LEAST 50% of the shares?
I would prefer that if my company was successful I would at least have control over it with 51% shares so I could be my own CEO. I've had a business and worked for an investor before, and I would rather have myself have the majority shares.
Anyways, so your services are only available for companies that will be publicly traded? What about investing in a company that will not be traded on the stock exchange but instead get a percentage ROI on the profit made each month?
Let me know, thanks.

Wanted to jump in here and mention our angel investor fund at Bitcoin Venture Capital. We already have some interesting startups underway and are committed to bringing more websites to market that offer goods and services for BTC. Our response has included some highly localized startups, we have been surprised by the response generated by articles such as http://starburst.hackerfriendly.com/?p=1530about a woman buying her lunch in Manhattan with bitcoin. Now that the market has somewhat stablized, it is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of some amazing bitcoin based startups.

Your website is down. Yes, Datacenter had some trouble. Should be up and running now.
