Shares, commodities and markets which exhibit similar characteristics to Bitcoin

What other markets, commodities or stocks exhibit similar characteristics to Bitcoin?

These are:

- Very strong positive long term trends
- High variance in daily prices
- High variance on scales of 1-6 months or more

I know Bitcoin is unique, but I am just interested as to what else is out there in the more "conventional" investing world that is similar in this respect?

The more wacky, zany or obscure the better - for example could even be the value of a particular collectors item over time.
