How much would it cost to hire bitcoin developer

Hi,

I'm building a project, and would like to hire a bitcoin developer
to integrate into my service -

I can use bitcoind via rpc/json just fine - but am unhappy with
the wallet system that it comes with.

Basically, I need to hire someone who can talk bitcoin protocol,
so that keys/accounts etc are kept seperate to the bitcoind
software - ( im assuming this is where rawtransactions come into play ?)

Anyway,, how much would I be looking at to hire someone ?

You're not explaining how big your project is , how many hours, what the project even is about etc.

I've got 25 years programming experience. I've worked with BASIC, Pascal, C, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML, PHP, CSS, Bash, Ksh, AWK, SED, MySQL, Oracle, Informix, MS DOS, Windows, SCO Unix, Apple OSX, and various forms of Linux.  I've got a good understanding of Bitcoin, and I can adapt and pickup new skills quickly if you need.

I could probably offer 10 hours of development per week on a project that will take less than 60 hours total.

I'd be wanting $250 per hour or the equivalent in Bitcoin.

I suspect you'll find other programmers that will help you for less.  My time is valuable to me, and I've already got a full-time job that I can live off of, so I'd need the incentive to put in the effort.

I've got the same experience as the Guy above me except only ten years exp. I'd ask 20 an hour or a down payment of 1000 dollars, your choice


I think we need to make a few concessions to catapult bitcoin into the future.
