So, I've read a couple other posts about people having their BTC-E account suspended due to inactivity.

"BTC-E Support" asked me for what appears to be the usual.

1. Copy of my passport.
2. Copy of utility bill.
3. Screenshots detailing deposits.

I have provided all, however they state that I did not provide detail on deposits (I did),

They are emailing me on the account I registered with them, even.

Has anyone ever had any luck with this? Or are my coins now just gone?  Sad

Here was my last email to them:

On 12/27/2013, At 10:35, I deposited .9992 BTC into my account. I provided screenshots from my local bitcoin.com account to show when it was transferred and the amount.

I have now given you the information on my deposits, my passport, and a utility bill, and you are emailing me on the account that I have registered with BTC-E. This is clearly my account.

Please allow me to access my account.

(I also included a screenshot showing the outgoing transfer from my localbitcoins.com)

Fortunately I haven't used BTC-E, but I'm skeptical about the chances of you getting out of that death trap.  There are already unresolved scam accusations about them withholding older accounts despite documents being provided.  They're also no longer accepting deposits and who knows if they're properly solvent.

When did you make that deposit, OP? BTC-E has been having deposit issues recently, and you should have checked before sending/depositing your bitcoins. I know this is hard said than done, but checking before doing anything in the cryptocurrency world is a must.

Also, accounts being blocked for no reason is somehow a popular issue on bitcoin exchanges.

I've seen a few of these accusations show up on other websites and I don't believe most of them have been resolved as of yet. I'm still trying to figure out where I saw it but I don't remember and I'm on quite a few forums.

BTC-E has been having a lot of problems lately so I am afraid you are one of many people who have had their account suspended or in the best case frozen for an undetermined amount of time from what I am reading on reddit. I never used them as I was skeptical about them since the day they started out. Their rates were too good to be true.

Many people are having their account suspended and we never witnessed anyone of them to have this problem resolved until now.

I heard that BTC-e had some security issues or something.

People around forum were complaining that suddenly there are unauthorized login attempts and some users received spam emails from unknown sender.
It seems that BTC-e email database might be leaked. If someone knows more about it, please post some details.

See their recent rating, people are complaining like crazy: http://bittrust.org/btc-e

there's always these types of things with btc-e. i've never known what to think of them myself. it's easy enough to help yourself to a few accounts a month and keep everyone else happy. you could carry on doing that for years on end.

I am using BTC-E since late 2014, and thus far I haven't had a single thing to complain about. I use a specific email address just for BTC-E, and thus far I haven't even had one single spam mail. Not even a single word from them that I should verify my account, even though I use this exchange occasionally. It could be that I am part of the lucky minority, but it seems that the senior users of BTC-E aren't the one complaining. Weird situation....

I have had my account since 2013 as well, never had a problem with BTC-E
no complaints on BTC-E chat either(well it is moderated,so there is no surprise here)
however,a few days ago I recieved a warning e-mail about unsuccessful login attempts to my account from
several different ips, most of them were TOR nodes,I changed my password and set 2fa up
I do not keep any coins when I'm done with trading online, but you never have "too much security"

What now, are they blocking bitcoin deposits and withdrawals? if so then I think they have gone gox, the only network without any governmental influence over it is bitcoin and not even regulation laws could force them to suspend or refuse to process any crypto transfers.
Last time it was bitfinex which they were only unable to process any fiat related transactions.
They don't have the rights to block you from withdrawing BTC even if the law says so because bitcoin ain't regulated and if anyone told you that or if it was in their TOS then better to stay away from dealing with them in the first place.

Im having the same issues with them right now. They are asking for wire transfer copies from money i wired there in 2013?!?!? They banned my IP - I have not traded on btc-e in ages, just have some coins sitting there I wanted to pull out and as of 2 days ago I cant log in. I was on site the night before, should have withdrew them then. I think the LTC pump has them insolvent.

Lol...scammers now? There are threads dating back years about them locking accounts and not being responsive.

You are 100% sure I never deposited? You are ignorant assuming my finances. Also, you are wrong in said assumption.

You're also wrong about 'have not logged in in years'.

They've unlocked my account after I sent a utility bill and told them a BTC address I've deposited into.

Yes, it just took a LONG time 7-10 days on average.  I think they are well intended, but just lack the appropriate support staff to deal with all the extra requests since they locked people out and the influx of accounts logging in due to BTC/LTC/ETH going crazy price wise.

I submitted all the info required, no reply for over a week...I just submitted another ticket, probably in vain.

This customer support is quite ridiculous.

It took 10 days to unlock an account so just be patient, it sucks, but they will reply.  Just make sure to give them everything they ask in 1 shot, so you don't have to wait so many days between replies.

Here is what happened to me with BTC-E.

All in all I think they definitely need to improve on their ticket response times, especially with all the new exchanges coming online.  They have to make the customer feel that they can trust an operation they don't know and operates in international waters.   I opened my account back in 2013, thankfully had it 2 factor'd etc, but didn't trade for many years after, because LTC went down the drain.  It was only a few weeks ago, I picked things back up, and like all of you, my account was locked.   I wanted to unlock the account and trade a little because I just let the coins sit, but now, with the meteoric rise in the cryptos, why not..  After some back and forth with the documents (I didn't love the fact that I had to give them a copy of my ID etc) my account was unlocked in 7 days (this was in April 2017).  I referred about 5 friends and family to them back in 2013, same story with the account locks.  I helped to get them unlocked, which they all were, it just took 10 days on average to do so.  I don't think they are trying to defraud anyone, I just think they are short staffed..

Just my $.02

I have the same probleme since btc-e.nz.
It looks they suspended some accounts with balance on it. But now it will be too late to restore the accounts. I guess when they run their new exchange plattform they will delete all accounts they have been suspended at this moment without refunding the funds.

Any Support Hotline does not exist at btc-e.nz.
