How soon will the built-in payment system using MYST tokens be ready? And how easy it will be to implement? Maybe waiting for ETH uptrend due to Casper is a good idea, but do you guys consider yourself independent?

Hi, MYST token payments implementation is scheduled for Q1 2019.

We have payment flows such as top up your identity, withdraw from your identity and micro-payments for bandwidth use coming soon. All of this is on the Ropsten test network.

This is why we want to test the usability and economics of the MysteriumVPN and Mysterium Network during our alpha phases. Here we will look at metrics such as speed, cost of transactions, lengths of sessions and satisfaction of users.

We will be testing several releases on Ropsten until we are certain that our product is ready for a Main Net release.

How will Mysterium Identity (Mysterium ID) work within Mysterium Network?
https://medium.com/mysterium-network/how-will-mysterium-identity-mysterium-id-work-within-mysterium-network-d330be95ab08

We are not exclusively tied to Ethereum so if the need arises the network smart contracts could be moved to another blockchain.

https://medium.com/mysterium-network/mysteriumvpn-app-for-mobile-android-now-available-8da09907f2a7

As we continue our mission to create a distributed, trust-less and sustainable network providing open access and privacy to all Internet users; our MysteriumVPN app is now available for mobile Android phones on the Google Play store. Anyone will be able to participate in the world’s first decentralized blockchain VPN network from the convenience of their Android phones and compatible devices. You can download the app and use for free during our alpha testing (also available for Windows and macOS desktop versions). Help us build, improve and continue to reinvent privacy, security and freedom on the Internet by providing your feedback.

yeap, the Mysterium VPN app for Android is very helpful, and highly expected.
There are so many users tend to use their smartphones/ tablets for their daily works, and reading news, trading crypto on their mobile devices.
In general, the Android wallet for Mysterium has shown the dedication of the team and the potential of future growth of the community.

Hi, thank you for your support. Glad you are enjoying the MysteriumVPN mobile app for Android. The iOS version will be next and we should also be implementing multi hops / relays and MYST token payments system in Q1 2019. The Mysterium development team continues to be one of the most active in GitHub and there are many more releases, events and activities to look forward to in the coming year and the future.

Mysterium Business Development Lead Andra (left) networking with OWASP (The Open Web Application Security Project) at Black Hat Europe 2018.

https://www.blackhat.com/eu-18/

Never heard about OWASP to be honest, got to dig into it. What's special about them?

Hi, the Open Web Application Security Project, an online community, produces freely-available articles, methodologies, documentation, tools, and technologies in the field of web application security.

Every vibrant technology marketplace needs an unbiased source of information on best practices as well as an active body advocating open standards. In the Application Security space, one of those groups is the Open Web Application Security Project (or OWASP for short).

The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a 501(c)(3) worldwide not-for-profit charitable organization focused on improving the security of software. Their mission is to make software security visible, so that individuals and organizations are able to make informed decisions. OWASP is in a unique position to provide impartial, practical information about AppSec to individuals, corporations, universities, government agencies and other organizations worldwide. Operating as a community of like-minded professionals, OWASP issues software tools and knowledge-based documentation on application security.

Thanks for the detailed response, just learned something new here. How is such an organization funded?

We would like to thank Povilas from Maidsafe for taking the time to share his technical experience with the Mysterium team today. We enjoyed the introduction to the SAFE network and discussion on NAT traversal and other technologies. We gained valuable insight on how to help provide privacy and security to everyone.

That kind of good news could help this project to get more adoption when it will find its real use case and potential to provide a secure environment than this community will grow. So that is good sign for this project and I hope in future it will get succeed to get nice position.
