So i have been mining ZEC on NiceHash pool for a very long time without any problems and 2 days ago i started having some issues(only night time, when i sleep)with my hashrate, it drops 50%, like how is that even possible?

Heres an image proof: http://i63.tinypic.com/v5v6yq.jpg

EDIT: As of 02/05/2017 it is looking back to normal again, not totally sure but i will edit this when sh1t starts to hit the fan again.

You may have a card malfunctioning.

Have you checked your miner logs for proof that you're hashing higher than NH is reporting?

okay, no card malfunction, GPU-Z temps are as usual and fan speed same as always.

im mining with 1 gpu and it is mining at 270sols for few hours until nightime when it drops to ~140 and stays there.

edit:i can post more info if it helps, just tell me.

Maybe it is switching to another algo at night. You could try using you own zcash miner and pointing it to the nicehash pool.

Heres an image proof:

nicehash doesn't need to steal from 1 GPU night.

something else is going on.

internet connection?

is another program trying to use the card?

is the computer going to sleep? maybe a reduced power mode?

i have been mining the same way for over 6 months(without any single problem), it can't switch to another algo, miner is only for ZEC[/b]

okay it dropped again, so it seems that the miner slowly goes to 140sols/s but still uses same power of the gpu as it was for 270sols/s
something is really fishy here, i am reverting the nvidia driver installation that i did yesterday and see if it changes anything.

Try switching to EWBF's miner or Nicehash's excavator.  Or just run the Nicehash multiminer app.

This is definately an issue on your end.  I've mined with nicehash for months with a lot larger machines with no issues.  You might change the title as Nicehash is not stealing anything from you.

i dunno, a user named jhenrikb with 970 is having a same problem.

seems to me that nicehash fucked something up for 970 users.

Heres an image proof:

You're looking at the wrong graph, it shows profitability, not hash rate. Try the Equihash graph.

As discussed try switching to EWBF's miner - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1707546.0

Then try running it with the following command line or batch file:
Code:
miner.exe --server equihash.usa.nicehash.com --pec --user YOURBTCADDRESS.WORKERNAME --pass x --port 3357

At the very least it will probably get you more hashes anyways Cheesy

First of all if you want more performance from your GPU- I see you have almost same as mine, I have GTX 1060 and 280 sol/s , you need to lower down your temperature. Download MSI Afterburner which is a free program and set the fan speed 75-80% the temp will go down to 68-70 degree celsius and you will see some improvement in your hash per wat and overall performance.

I am mining at Nicehash since April 5 and I have made about 42 USD so far with them with one card, but keeping the card not 24/7 only about 10 hours a day.

i think 75C for 970 is more then cool, i should start worrying if it reached 80C (the stock fan curve doesn't let the card go beyond 79C)

Maybe you have a malware that starts mining when you're AFK for a while, or maybe the miner slows down due to a bug, in which case you should use another miner or set up a system that restarts the miner periodically.

Use a software that monitors your GPU and CPU usage over night.

Not your keys, not your coins!
