People could use lots of cryptos without knowing it, but it's better if they do.

People who use crypto paying more fees without knowing it, fiat to crypto via coinbase etc paying hefty fees. It's better for them without knowing the scam running around in crypto.

It depends on what you want to do with it, as long as it is for payments only, you can, just using a GUI wallet (myst ?). But if you want to go deeper, like creating smart contracts and all these fancy things, then you should seriously consider reading more about that coin, either ETH or annother.
The first thing to do is to spend some days on the github repo, and read all the API calls, find what you could need and play with it.

Possibly spending ethereum even without knowing all about it is not a good decision, because a small mistake or the lack of knowledge might make him face a big loss. There too are people who have profited much even with know what it is all about. In the past too bitcoin users were the same. The early adoption has profited them now.

That means if ethereum has a chance to be another payment method besides the bitcoin. People with lack of knowledge even not knowing about it and spending it.  That's reflecting the possibility of ethereum to be bitcoin competitor
To spend your ethereum token doesn't need to learn more about that. Those just want to spend ethereum and they do not need learning about that.
This is a good result for ethereum to be a simple payment method. Looks he already know the basic of ethereum token.
