Do you know the total procedure firstly about buying the house and paper documentation involved in it? Do you know where btc stands in India in current scenario? Do you already have 50 btc with you or will buy once deal is final?

Its all together a different ball game in US and India. In India currently we are in a state where govt will come out with a policy soon regarding the btc and as of now its not legal or illegal as well. So we do not know the status of it. While in US its more better and far ahead then us in such technology.

Hopefully in the future things will be clarified.

The person was selling his house to buy litecoin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v5y3icu6YYI don't know whether he sold it or not, but it would have been like 8x now.

Can you share further details because it is not that easy to get a house for 50 btc in a metro city, you need more than that to get a decent house in big metros .What state you are looking for to invest and you have to describe more details if you are looking for any sales pitch here.

If I wasnt almost broke at the moment I could have helped you. I did transact with BTC for buying some freehold land a few months ago. Regardless, ping me if Kolkata interests you. I may still be able to connect you with the right people.

There is no real advantage, if you want to keep everything legal. Capital gains tax is still applicable both to the buyer (on bitcoin's appreciation) and to the seller (On the house's appreciation).

I guess after the new Modi administration and so many new rules you can never purchase House / Land asset with virtual currency till date , but if Indian Govt. adapt this Bitcoin and new tech for regulated point of view then may be in near future we may see implementation of this into such big asset trades . But now you can't do that with proper legal way cause of Court and all involvements they do not take bitcoin ; Any site regarding this claim they sell house and all are scam for sure . I may still be able to connect you with the right people. That's interesting , i would like to know how you did that with proper legal way . Papers and all registered with real cash i assume and only owner of the land may accepted bitcoin for his payment , cause GOVT. / Court / Registry office will not take Bitcoin for sure .

Revisiting this thread after ages! I did get a deal via LocalBitcoin Now I wish I had waited for the Dubai ones! 30 BTC was cheaper Are you really serious brother? because no one is really going to take your 50 bitcoins in India time when people are being scrutnized over taxes. 50 bitcoin for someone would mean an extra headache of around 1.5 crore. Morever until now sale of property requires proper documentation and a good consideration. Writing btc in consideration column is I dont think valid until now. Did you crack the deal or not?

I can help you out if you are searching for a property in Kolkata. Pricing can be done on BTC but the court charges & registration charges should be paid in INR. You can get the BTC converted to INR for the registration process.
