I saw people selling BTC on e-bay. This means it is possible to buy BTC with paypal... The "normal" ways of buying and selling BTC is on the exchanges, such as MtGox and BTC-E

You can use paypal through bitcoin-otc, but make sure you're trading with a person with a good reputation.

MtGox, Bitstamp, BTC-e. Actually I try Bitstamp and its fast and easy and you dont need to provide that things like passport scan. I get my money in 24hours through SEPA payment. And when you want buy BTC via Paypal I test https://www.virwox.com you just buy SLL then you will trade them for BTC and withrawal them somewhere. But it take 48hours for new account, anyway it work.

You can use PayPal, but you could lose your money. There are lots of ways to sell BTC, but the hardest part is getting the cash in your hand. This is a list of places to sell BTC: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Selling_bitcoins

I heard you can't use paypal, then how is it possible i found MtGox to be great and easy to deposit and withdraw, the only draw back is there trading system is fairly poor, easy to make errors etc. However i do recommend Mtgox they accept USD wire transfer, takes about 4 days to process. Bitstamp is another one, i haven't tried it but alot of people here recommend it.

friends are actually a really good source for cash in return for bitcoin. A lot of people want them, but don't want to go through the trouble of getting them through the exchanges
