i have a 240v 30a circuit that isn't being used, but is wired for a dryer. I have an electrician coming to convert it so i can power an a741/apw3 and t9/apw3, 2 apw3 total. what power cable do you guys use for this PSU? what would be the simplest outlet/approach to instruct the electrician for conversion?

You would be best served by grabbing a cheap 30A PDU and just replacing the plug on the PDU for the matching dryer plug ignoring the neutral (so you don't have to change the existing receptacle at all). If you bring the PDU into a hardware store, they might even help you change the plug if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. That way you're not limited to just 1 APW3 PSU, you can expand down the road if you decide to, and when you unplug the PDU the receptacle is still available for use with a dryer.

thanks, that's a good idea a little confused by "ignoring the neutral" what exactly does this mean when telling someone to change the plug?
edit: also - wouldn't i still need a PSU cable from the apw3 to the PDU?? this solves the receptacle issue but not the PSU cable issue

What exactly is your question then? If the cable supplied with the PSU doesnt plug into what you have there are thousands of adapters out there.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

I've used them ^^ a lot. Odds are no matter what kind of plug/socket cord connections you need - it's probably in stock or can be custom made very inexpensively. Best part of course is that you know they are quality, properly rated and properly made cables unlike eBay specials.

How many S9s did you connect to the PDU?
