I prefer Slush's pool.

You could try mining each one for a 24h period and then compare. Then stick with the one that suits you, and keep the other as a back-up (Pools can go down from time to time)

I also prefer Slush's. Really hard working guy. You should check his forum posts on this same website.

Always support the smaller pools, helps keep everything distributed

That's a good point.

Unfortunately, both pools have pretty much equal shares http://blockchain.info/pools

i've been on slush's pool for a while. it felt like the payout was better than bitminter, but i don't have a very large sample size. he's been around for a long time and everybody vouches for him and says he's pretty upstanding, so i'm happy there.

I mined with Slush for a few months and had no complaints.  The only feature that I would have liked to see over there (unless I missed it) was an "on-demand payout" button.  Other than that, I had no problems at all.

http://mineforeman.com/2013/04/24/slushs-bitcoin-mining-pool-hacked/

everybody is getting hacked all the time..

i'm currently using eligius, it's quite nice. 0% fee, no registration and a nice frontend (with some quirks and bugs) Smiley

I tried to connect to Slush's pool yesterday and it was down for me so instead I joined BTC Guild. Nice website and pretty easy to navigate, so I'm going to stick with this one until it doesn't work anymore for me:)
