Btc-e has a history of problems, if I'm not mistaken for a few weeks someone complained about the service provided by btc-e. Just do your own research in this forum.

Btc-e is more trustworthy than any other exchange out there. I only saw 2 problems with them in this forum till now and nothing else.

Exchanges like polo/yobit/finex are like problem hives. The more you dig them, more shit comes out. Their layout also suck.

You want to trade ltc (and maybe btc) and btc-e can fulfill your demands without any problems. It has a nice clean layout and they have 2FA security system, so you won't get hacked unless you lose your phone. I recommend their service.

Litecoin is listed in many trading platform but i love to trade them in poloniex and actually in profit right now from the recent pump.

On early april this year, price of LTC have pumped hard because within next 8 days segwit will be activated on LTC. So grab some cheap LTC before it will be late.

Litecoin can be trade on almost every exchange your real question is what is supply for that coin on certain exchange.
Btc-e has some issues from time to time this is true but they have very good LTC supply, others are ok by that Poloniex bittrex, i would not recommend some Chinese exchange or Taiwan, Chinese you will get your money in 7 days (at least my experience) and Taiwan they are most scams.

But best advice is research yourself like Slow death said, then only person you can blame is you.
