Bitcoins are increasingly receiving widespread attention from all walks of life, from the poor to the wealthy, who can exchange and invest in bitcoins. I think the day that bitcoin became a global currency is not far off. You will then be able to buy everything with a bitcoin wallet without having to carry cash.

How many celebrities or high profile individuals do you know of that owns and support Bitcoin? I think if we can get some high profile users, we

might get some good exposure going forward. When Playboy started out, they realized that they should start the magazine with a BANG, so they

bought nude pictures of the most well known person in the world at the time and put her on the front page. <--- Marilyn Monroe ... This put them

on the map and they built a global empire.

Who will be our Marilyn Monroe?

So far we have had some high profile users like Mike Tyson and Ashton Kutcher, but we need a globally recognized ambassador for Bitcoin... our

very own, Marilyn Monroe.  Grin

bitcoin runs by itself and its fame now, does not look at who will invest, no matter who it is, the obvious fame comes from itself (bitcoin)

No, you are wrong. People look for role models and they copy those people's actions. This is why companies sponsor some

of the biggest Sport men and women. You see the clothing and equipment they use and you buy that. This is the same for

Celebrities. What do you think will happen if Warren Buffet made a statement, saying that Bitcoin investment is your best

investment? He has Millions of followers.  Roll Eyes

Boxer Floyd Mayweather showed his interest in cryptocurrency via Instagram on two occasions.
In July, he posted a photo of himself on a private plane next to a table covered in money with the caption:
"I'm gonna make a s--- t-- of money on August 2nd on the Stox.com ICO." Stox, a sister site to Invest.com,
is a bitcoin prediction market product.

In August, Mayweather took to Instagram again to show his support for
blockchain-based decentralized marketplace Hubii Network's ICO. Under a photo of himself,
the boxer added the caption, "You can call me Floyd Crypto Mayweather from now on."

If I'm a celebrity, I do not have to go out and tell the world that I have a multi-million dolat bitcoin. The main principle of bitcoin retains the owner of bitcoin as anonymous so no one can capture how much you hold today. Cool

most of the celebrities that are always saying that they invested in "X" ICO are totally false, they are not even interested on the project, they are just being paid in order to promote that. And no, i do not think that any celebrity will share it publicly.

I understand your point but...

Unlike Playboy, bitcoin is not trying to sell something tangible. It is a new kind of service and it was designed to allow users to remain anonymous. Celebrities boastng with bitcoins are actually in total contradiction with bitcoin principles.

The community is growing, bit after bit. We are developping new business models, more services.. We don't have to get ad the way large companies do. Bitcoin is an opportunity, not a billable-advertisable thing!  Angry
Bitcoin is an opportunity indeed! An opportunity unlike others that need to be advertised. Bitcoin does not need such advertisements coz it is already popular in its own respect. Yes, being able to identify high profile - globally known personalities who uses or holds Bitcoin may help in boosting Bitcoin or make it known worldwide. But is this necessary? At Bitcoin's current status, I really don't think so.

I think this is not impossible that celebrity are already a bitcoin holder. Because all we know that their career is not forever. So they are engaing in the different kind of business. So this is not impossible that they are now holding bitcoin. Not only a celebrity but I think even the athlete players are now engaing at bitcoin. Because they are thinking about their future. So make sense even the famous people or people who are already successful are doing bitcoin so you dont have any reason to say that you dont have time or you dont need bitcoin.

Maybe they could also considered to enter here in the world of cryptocurrencies because they are also looking for a high profit investment and that what bitcoin offers. Maybe they wouldn't also wanted to enter here because they are too busy with their schedules and worked so they don't have any time to pay attention and time working with it. So this is what I have in my mind in this topic.

I read in one of article that Manny Paquiao is planning to make his own token called "Pac Coin". I'm not sure what is the feature of the coin but I think it is a good sign that crypto willdominate the market.

Bitcoin and the blockchain technology is said to be a disruptive technology. What is it disrupting and who will want to lead the disrupting are the questions that comes to my mind as I read through your post.

You can see the fight between governments and bitcoin. It tells you were the disruption is affecting. So it will be difficult for someone to boldly stand to lead this disruption. However, there are some notable names that are bold enough to identify with bitcoin. John McAfee is a significant name. Recently, there are news that NASDAQ is considering opening a cryptocurrency trading platform. Early this year, the Chicago stock exchange listed bitcoin for trading. Bitcoin was discussed when the WEF met in Zurich. These are strong indicators that bitcoin is gaining more popularity. It won't be long again for cryptocurrency to fully be mainstream.

I think the Bitcoin owner did not want to be known by anyone, because of his anonymous nature. like the story in my country, there are MPs who have Bitcoin until 1200. but this Bitcoin owner did not include her having Bitcoin.

maybe even whenever Bitcoin will remain mysterious to the owner.

While bitcoin is not legalized I think none of the celebrities do not admit that they own a certain amount of it. Since they do not want to attract his name in an unknown light yet.
