What wallet did he use to make the transaction? I would usually suggest the fee was not the recommended one but " Transaktionsgebühr: -0.00051881 BTC" this fee seems enough for it to not get stuck for 3 days.... strange. Are you sure that you gave him the correct receiving address? And I can't find this tx id in the blockchain: a03d018f63a98aab2c603426230da455058304da304681f0ee6903d4c6af097c

You should try to rebroadcast your transaction maybe it is stuck due to heavy traffic of BTC. But 50K satoshi fee is high and it will just took a minute to made your transaction complete. Post exactly the TXID of transaction.

What wallet did he use to make the transaction? I would usually suggest the fee was not the recommended one but " Transaktionsgebühr: -0.00051881 BTC" this fee seems enough for it to not get stuck for 3 days.... strange. Oh dear. It's not about what fee he sent, it's about what fee per byte he sent. The current recommended fee is 240 satoshi/byte and for the median transaction size of 226 bytes this results in a fee of 54,240 satoshi. Sure, that makes 0.00051881 (51,880 satoshi) sound okay at first, but this is an exceptionally large transaction. It's extremely unusual for a transaction to be that large, and that makes the fee per byte so low that it won't go through for a very long time if at all. There could be any number of reasons for that, like the OP accepting huge amounts of dust inputs for that payment.

Until you realise that the transaction size was 2553 bytes... making his fee ~20 sat/byte... in the middle of a spam attack... where the recommended fee has been well over 150 sat/byte for the last 3-4 days... in any case, it looks like the transaction has dropped out of the mempool... so his friend should be able to resend it... with a proper fee!!?!

Wait, is that the transaction size? (Just googled it, and it translates to Total Transaction Size.) If it is, then it's huge amount of inputs, man. It's about 2.5kb transaction which requires at least 0.002BTC as fees. In this case, there is nothing to be done, either it gets confirmed (if you are lucky), or it gets dropped from the network (getting back to his balance).

My first question do you know what does your friend use a wallet when He deposited bitcoin to you? I used and copy paste your transaction id at https://live.blockcypher.com/ but it appears no transaction found. I think there's something lacking in the wallet that your friends used it.

They are right, your transaction has already been dropped by mempool because of low transaction fee. It may take sometime before it will reflect back to your friends wallet but it will be send back soon. Next time use appropriate fees in sending bitcoin. You have a very high transaction size, maybe because your input came from faucets (just a hunch).

May be used during a low transaction so that it drops by costing fees, so you must have a high transaction in order to get his deposit.

Right click the transaction in the transactions list and choose "Abandon transaction". Then he can resend the Bitcoin but this time include a much higher fee. In Bitcoin Core, you can set your fee by clicking the "Choose" button next to where it says "Transaction fee" on the send page. Then choose the option for "Recommended" and move the slider all the way to the right where it says "fast". Note that in order for the fee estimation to work Bitcoin Core must have been running for a while.

Most nodes drop transactions after 48-72 hours... assuming the transaction doesn't get rebroadcast. He may need to "abandon" the transaction in BitcoinQT or start it with the -zapwallettxes parameter to remove all the unconfirmed transactions from the wallet so it doesn't keep rebroadcasting them... NOTE: go and read up about zapwallettxes and what it does... backing up wallet.dat first is a good idea once the txs are zapped (or abandoned) from the wallet... and the txs drop out of the mempool, he should be free to spend them again.

No, bitcoins do not get "resent" back to the sender. What happens is that most of the network forgets your transaction (and that has already happened) and you tell your wallet to forget the transaction so that it reverts to a state where that transaction was never made. However, because you are sending from this wallet, it will not forget the transaction unless you tell it to do so, and you do that by using "Abandon transaction". Even though your wallet and the network has "forgotten" the transaction, it still has potential to be confirmed since someone else may still have a copy of it and may still rebroadcast it. Thus, to prevent that from happening, you need to spend the Bitcoin again to make a conflicting transaction that has a higher transaction fee that gets confirmed. You can just send the Bitcoin back to yourself. That will invalidate the original transaction.
