Is Ethereum a threat to BTC???

okay, I'm also confused about the current market and I spent all my money to invest in long-term projects ICO. In which I also purchased altcoin was accepted on the exchange as ETH, Stratis, Antshares but I still believe in Bitcoin so I'm waiting for the right time

Ethereum is a great technology but it cannot dethrone bitcoin in the number 1 spot with the current  trend.
Well, we do not really know what will happen in the future, it could be bitcoin will be in the number 2 and eth will take its place
but it all depend to us because we are the one using the tokens and we know what will benefit us.

I heard that the ethereum is much better than the BTC that in fact is the same as BTC but improved and that is the reason why it is rising a lot of price.

Is the Ethereum really better than the BTC? Do you believe that the Ethereum will reach the prices of BTC and even more that will surpasses  the price of BTC, or that even will replace BTC?

What are your thoughts and predictions for Ethereum ??

I think you never seen and analyse the Bitcoin and eth . Here you will found that btc is more better then ETH .
The reason is not a particular but many . Here I would like to tell you about the main main quality of the btc that ETH not have .
(1) Btc can bear big traffic of transaction and also can handle traffic easily , but ETH can't  do the same as Bitcoin can .
(2) BTC is available at every place but ETH only available at rare places only , that is showing how much the Bitcoin is famouse .
(3) Btc is going to improve the network again at 1 August but In the last week what was happened every knows with ETH .
(4) BTC is more secure  and easy to use because wallets for the Bitcoin available are more than for ETH  .
(5) BTC is the first coin that entered in the market of virtual currency , so most of them have more trust with BTC then with ETH

2. You are correct that CURRENTLY BTC is more popular but nothing is to say that will always be the case
3. Bitcoin likely will improve the network but it currently has risks of a fork whereas ETH has no immediate risk of that

5. This is the same as 2, it has first mover advantage and currently on top in usage and trust but that may or may not always be the case

About point number three in your list, ETH has no risk of a fork because it was already forked years ago, and it became two different coins ETH and ETC, so while what you say is correct, I think it is unfair to take this as a negative point for bitcoin when in bitcoin that is only a possibility when in ETH that is a reality.

I don't think ethereum is better than bitcoin as most time people make this comment because they could not buy bitcoin when bitcoin was low. Bitcoin is a gold standard to others cryptocurrency and bitcoin standout among all the coins. I don't think both bitcoin and Ethereum are in competition but each are there to solved one problem or the other. Be it bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, wave, strats, lisk and litecoin are not in competition.

No.. even we get old ETH will always be ETH and bitcoin is bitcoin. No matter what happens BTC is the elite in crypto currency market and no one can ever replace it. Once these things are already done for sure we'll see people jumping from one alt coin to bitcoin because they know that it is now starting to fly up to the moon.

Ethereum can be better than Bitcoin for its users and vise versa. Sudden changes is really happening on the market like the leading currency can be surpassed by a currency behind it but it is not an indication that it can be a threat against the leading one. It is an open space workplace so it is really possible that the leading and the second will reverse its position depending on the demands and price value in the market. But we cannot totally say in a mean point that as Ethereum price pumps, it can be a threat to Bitcoin because we are open for changes regarding that matter

Price is irrelevant because of differences in total number. Marketcap is all that matters.

Ethereum is good at many things, but not for basic transactions. It is not a threat to BTC, they are very different applications.

Are there reasons for ETH to head crash with BTC (unless you are referring to trading) since both seems to be very different entities? BTC direct competitor seems to be more of LTC, Zcash, Monero, Dogecoin, etc.

That's what you believe then I will respect it, I think ETH are just undervalued and time will come that will compete with bitcoin.
The development is enormous for ETH as most successful project now are under ETH, so that is my basis.

The answer is no.

1. Etherium is not better than Bitcoin.
2. Etherium will not and cannot surpass Bitcoin.
3. Etherium is not an improved Bitcoin.
4. Etherium may reach the price of Bitcoin but by that time Bitcoin is already very very high.

The trust in Etherium is the trust of crypto in general, which also means trust in Bitcoin.

I.don't know what that exactly means that Ethereum is much better then Bitcoin? At the moment Bitcoin is the strongest and the most accepted cryptocurrency. Of course there are issues, nothing is perfect, but to my opinion at the moment Bitcoin doesn't have some serious competition. Ethereum is totaly different story and its not the threath to Bitcoin.

It has different aspects so it can be the tgreat of bitcoin maybe in level of eth and btc may too close but it will never be threat cause btc is the most powerful but we dont know if can be change.

I agree with you. But it needs consideration that eth will match btc, many predict that btc fore will increase sharply. But it is not possible eth can not beat btc. How many years ahead, we see and wait for who will soar because this is very difficult to predict.
