Hey all,

So I can mine BTC fine, but I want to mine LTC....but I always crash.

I have tried using multiple configurations in guiminer scrypt, reaper, and CGminer.

I have a sapphire 7950.  It came clocked like this:
GPU Clock: 925
Memory Clock: 1250
VDDC: 1250

This card is in a PCI 2.0 X16 express slot
I have 8GB of Ram.

My best success is using the high usage in setting in Guiminer-scrypt....sometimes I can up to 3 hours before it crashes, at about 530khash/sec.

I am using the 13.4 Catalyst Drivers and I think the 2.8 SDK.

Any ideas?

I never go over 75 celcius and my PSU is 730W

It could be a bad card, that's my guess. But, try unplugging the card and plug it back in. It's crazy but just make 100% sure its in tight.

And I just tried running this:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://mining-foreman.org:10341 -u Draxus.1 -p x --shaders 1792 --intensity 14 --worksize 256 -g 1

and I got about 4 seconds on hasing before my computer rebooted....

Also if I mine bitcoins I get about 430mhash/sec using guiminer and that is stable will run for days without crashing

download and run this ... it has a "torture test" let it run overnight

its a well known pc testing tool

http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/

if it has any problems then either your ram, cpu , mb etc are bad or overheating....

if it runs fine then you know it's a graphics card problem....

either way my bet is hardware issue, computer should never reboot like that ever.

Tips if this helps you any Smiley  1NvPSnFGXeok7ebj6JgttmozNbBVsuG63R
