Doesn't  look like you can fit 4 x 2-slot cards in either of those cases, though. May not need it for this build, but perhaps for the next one

The TDP of 275 watts is bad if true.

Note I will be deleting any more on the NOVA.  As it is 100% speculative and does not belong here.

It also is a two  slot  card               with a TDP of 275
The Galax Katana is a one slot card with a TDP of 165.

This is comparing completely different items.

Looking at the pictures (I didn´t get one by myself) the cooling system
seems similar to what I have seen at Quadro 4000 and Quadro K4000
which have nearly the same TDP.

I would guess it would be 500-550 USD in DE   vs 431 USD (shipping included) in USA   due to VAT

My second card came today  I set rig up.
They come back in stock in 3 weeks in USA.
I am getting more.

The rig works very well.

around 1900 sols for Zcash

under 600 watts at the pdu

the katana use less power then the asus 1070

which is a good thing.

Getting enough air flow across the cards would be Job 1.

 I doubt it's viable, since the card exhausts a lot of air out of the side of the card, not all out the back or part back and part top.
 Cooling would be a MAJOR issue.

The TDP of 275 watts is bad if true.

This is comparing completely different items.

 Vega is aimed at the 1080ti, not the 1070.

 THAT power comparison is pretty close, the question is how the performance compares.


 The one that doesn't make a lot of sense is the "Eclipse", unless it's intended to be a way to take Nova GPUs with one bad CU and do something sellable with them.

Awesome! I'm planning to buy a couple of gtx 1080s as the 1080ti are not available here, will probably do skein and zcash, with the recent pump on zcash it got profitable again

I am so heat capped it is amazing how much more gear I can don if heat was not a killer even with the big summer power rates I get.

I will be selling off an Asus 1070 and a msi 1060 and a zotac 1080 is spoken for I am going to my friends place this friday.

i will add 2 katana getting the rig to 4 katana's just because I want to see it run.
I may move this into the solar array as we can do a few more watts there.

more memory can get high, up to 32 to 33.. but very not stable, with good timing can take up to 33 stable..
