As I'm a newbie I figured I'd ask some newbie questions Grin

So, I'm pretty interested in purchasing some Avalon ASIC chips, however I haven't been able to find too much on if there are existing PCB designs and software that could be used for mining with these. What are other people doing about this?

I have the ability to print (mill) prototype PCB designs and could test them if anybody is developing a design and software. Are any companies selling affordable boards that will house these chips?

All the solutions I've been seeing are not much better than buying a GPU system in terms of initial cost (though the power requirements of those systems would obviously be much lower).

Isn't Avalon supposed to be releasing the PCB design sometime in May?

Butterfly Labs has a different interpretation of the FTC Mail Order Rule.  You do not have a refund option with the BFL Monarch no matter how late they ship.
