I believe you need to understand that investment in bitcoin will be better than trading bitcoins as per I have experienced. But I'm not sure where you have learned that trading is better than investment. Maybe you are stating it more specific to altcoin investment and trading.

If you are planning to get into altcoin trading, I'm having few suggestions for better way of trading :
- investing in ICO in earlier days might ensure some definite profits as higher discounts are usually available on early days.
- most of the new coins perform well so you need to book profits as early as possible before first dump will happen.
- to avoid above problem, you can choose only high reputed altcoins like litecoin/eth/monero (just examples not exact suggestions).

These are indeed some good tips, which some users tend to forget. I know people who just invest in every ICO that pops up, without doing any checks on the developers, managers, and the software. It's insane.

i honestly don't know why so many people are suggesting an investment in ICOs these days. there are a lot of scams going on using ICO and people are losing a lot of money because of it which means it is not really a good idea to invest in these things.

also there is no guarantee that an ICO coin would be successful in the future. and you have no way of knowing if it is going to fail or not. and statistically speaking there is a high chance of failure.

I will suggest you to start with the simple steps .

After the get of the success starts Trading at another exchage also and also make trading from one exchage to another ( Because sometimes the price of one altcoins Became different at different exchage .

It would be better to hold your bitcoins since its price is steadily raising.but if you wish to invest in altcoins and increase your bitcoin volume,then you should try to find the most under valued coin and invest in it.Or else,you should go with coins which were already in the market for more than two years.That would be safe.Since in altcoin market,most coins are just pumped and dumped,you should not follow the market blindly and should not get panic and sell or buy coins due to FOMO.Follow the rule,"Dont put all your eggs in the same basket" and invest in two or more coins.Follow the other rule given by warren buffet,"Buy when every one sells and sell when every one buys".

Closely watching is nothing but a type of research and analysis. Every trader must do it before start trading. My suggestion for newbie traders would be, spend more time for research and analysis. Reading resources online will be helpful to get some clear idea about research and analysis.
