The price of bitcoin is soaring as a whole lot of new money is coming into the cryptocurrency economy. With new money flowing in it seems mainstream investors are catching wind of bitcoin’s benefits. Bitcoin is considered a safe haven from worldwide economies that are failing, as well as an asset class that is outperforming many traditional investments found today.

Mainstream investors heard an awful lot about bitcoin’s performance as the asset grew considerably in value throughout 2016-2017. The price of bitcoin is still rising, and conventional investors continue to hear more and more about bitcoin’s market accomplishments.

Please do not compare bitcoin and gold. Bitcoin is something different. It's a new level of values.

How can investors ignore a Currency/Commodity that has out performed all other Currencies and Commodities for the last couple of years. Yes,

the debate is still ongoing if Bitcoin should be classed as a Currency or a Commodity, but there is no debate that it is out performing both. You

are blind if you cannot see that Bitcoin should be in your investment portfolio, even if it is only 1% to 10%  Wink

It hasn't outperformed other currencies at all, since the usage is mind-bogglingly small.  If you're lucky, you'll see someone buying some technology with it (or a coffee - why they do that I'll never know).

It's outperformed other investments and assets.  It might well outperform other currencies in the future, but it hasn't happened yet.

Correct. Bitcoin now is seen as a alternative for rich investor as safe haven in for investments. Bitcoin traders and some buyers are now considering its role in the world beyond the cryptocurrency system, and instead as a form of currency hedge. So no doubt that bitcoin price will really increase in the coming years as investors are embracing it as another instrument to be added to their portfolio.

I have been saying it to basically everyone around me that Bitcoin will be one of the better investment options, but still people didn't want to take me serious. If you realize that at the moment the big boys (mostly institutions) will enter the market, even current prices will look like a joke. Main advantage is that all their money in Bitcoin is basically safe from any kind of threat coming from banks and governments. It's called pure freedom. I am sure they highly value this feature.

You will see five-liter, but you just had to invest in Bitcoin last year and until now your investments would have brought very good profits. Of course, judging by the forecasts for the future, even today to buy Bitcoin will be a very profitable option.

I met with a RIA (registered investment advisor) a month or so ago.  After talking, I mentioned bitcoin.  I got a "who talked you into buying that?"  She was actually open to discussing it after I explained, I mined it quite a while ago.

Bitcoin is so much more in the mainstream media now.  With all the uncertainties around, those that can afford to take a punt on Bitcoin and other alt coins could be rewarded well... but, it is still a 'bet' (I need to remind myself of this!)... how big a bet is getting more and more interesting!

For the big time investors with the serious capital, the current bitcoin prices must seem chump change. I imagine though that sooner or later, if it hasn't already, FOMO will affect even these whales who have yet to take the bitcoin plunge.

Bitcoin becomes more populous, you are right. Therefore, many smart investors choose bitcoin. The news says that millionaires are interested in crypto currency, because no one will be surprised that I bought 0.1 Bitcoin)). Everyone is interested in the fact that the oligarch bought 1000 bitcoins

If investors talk about Bitcoin being interesting as investment option, they have likely taken positions into Bitcoin already. It's more like they are tickling others into believing that there are huge opportunities open (which in reality is exactly the case with Bitcoin). It's basically the same with 'market experts' praising certain stocks. Stocks get only praised when they have a position in it already. Nothing happens without a reason. Wink In this case I definitely beleive it's a good thing. More big money flowing into Bitcoin means more liquidity, and leads to a far higher price in the long term. Imagine that 0.001BTC will turn out to be worth +$10 at some point. Cheesy Not that long ago (and probably still is), people were treating it like dust - eventually that 'dust' will be worth a decent amount.

Hi!

Without an inch of a doubt, I think Bitcoin can really make it big in the market considering its value over the years of its existence. No wonder its popularity and proliferation is heavily criticized which momentarily entices more investors. It seems like the more it is being denounced internationally, the more investors take risks to experience first hand its power in the digital world.
