I'm having a problem running cgminer on my 5790 card. It works fine in my primary mining rig, however in my second machine, cgminer starts up, displays the initial line of text with the version number, then a blank window with no text. I used the same settings that worked in my primary rig. When that didn't work, I tried removing some of the command line options. I also tried using both .bat and .conf files to launch cgminer, with the same result. Here is the log file generated by running it for a few minutes: (It does not show more than one share being accepted no matter how long I let it run.)

 [2013-04-29 01:34:22] Started cgminer 3.0.1
[2013-04-29 01:34:23] Probing for an alive pool
 [2013-04-29 01:34:24] Network diff set to 28.7M
 [2013-04-29 01:34:26] Attempting to restart cgminer 3.0.1
 [2013-04-29 01:34:28] Accepted 4e32b456 Diff 2.59K/64 GPU 1

Command line options: --scrypt -o pool -u user -p pass --thread-concurrency 8000 -g 1 -I 13

The machine is running a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 with the latest AMD Catalyst drivers, and 4GB of RAM. I'm able to run games on it with no problems. I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me solve this, or at least figure out what's wrong.

Try installing drivers 12.8

I had the same issue with BTC mining and downgrading the drivers was the only solution
