I am reserving this post to post here about the design of the game under development.
I would keep this updated and any suggestions would be reflected here.

Current Plan:

You are a hero with command of a village/town.
You have a few people who are behind you in whatever you do.
It is now on you to turn this group of people and the town into biggest empire of the whole region.

Hero

The hero is only person in the game you can control unless you have attacked another town or you are under attack.
Hero can roam around the world and explore new areas.
Fight Thugs and Wild Animals to clear away land for your people to use.
Discover safe places to expand your village/town.
Discover other towns and villages.
Declare war on other towns villages.

Expansion of Town

 Villagers can build following buildings:
1. Houses --> Produce More villagers who make more buildings and increase resource production.
2. Army Buildings --> Train Army
3. Temples/Religious Buildings --> Your people stay hopeful, do not revolt and feel lucky. Priests heal your army.
4. Resource Collection Buildings --> Will collect wood from trees, Gold from Mines etc.
5. Defence -->Watch Towers for your defense

Gold Mines

Gold mines in the game would be the crucial factor.

Player Gold Mines --> Every player on reaching a fixed level would get a gold mine in his base.
 This would be a small gold mine which produce less gold. If you are attacked and you lost, your gold mine will be controlled by the victor.

Map Gold Mines --> At some specific places in map there would be big gold mines which produce huge Gold .
These can be controlled by anyone whoever can build and sustain a building there. You can make extra defenses to protect this mine from attackers.

There would be some limited gold mines on the Map. These mines would produce gold which would be exchangeable for Real Bitcoins.
The amount of gold produced will depend on various factors like game revenue , age of gold mine and its location.
The whole point of game would be to have control over these mines as whosoever
has control over these gold mines would be able to get maximum gold hence earn maximum bitcoins.
In case you are in an alliance the gold produces would get divided in the alliance partners
 of the agreement which partners would agree at time of joining the alliance.

Alliances

Players can form Alliances to save them from attacks of others or to take on an powerful enemy.
When joining an alliance the leader of alliance will have absolute right to take you in his team or not.
(You may have to pay resources to get accepted in alliance or maybe share a goldmine you might have found . In case you are powerful the Alliance Leader may pay you instead for coming in their alliance.)
If you are member of alliance you automatically will get a part of friendly army for your defenses in case of attack.


Attacks And Fights

Your hero while exploring may find new towns and cities. Every town has some defenses.
To attack another town your hero first has to destroy defenses of the other town.
Once the defenses are down you can challenge the player for a Battle.
The player may try to pacify you by giving you some resources and you will be unable to attack him for next few days.
Else you both will enter into a turn based battle .
It is possible that two or three players together attack a single player.
Once you win .. you get 25% of all resources of the defendant and control over his goldmine if he has one.
In case you loose .. you loose . (and maybe got an enemy!)

How System Sustains?

--> There would be a monthly fee to start an alliance and be an alliance leader. (Limited number of alliances will be allowed)
--> Anything bought or sold(weapons,armies, resources) on market would have a small cut which goes to game pool.
--> Advertisements from all three version(android,iOS,Web) pull in cash
--> The upgrades which are bought by pushing in currency from outside the game.

We are going as lean as possible on this to prevent our technical costs from getting too high.
We believe we would be able to provide an awesome experience to players and make it profitable for us too.

A major part of these revenues would be pushed back into game as gold production and gold to bitcoin exchange rate.

You would be able to put in money to get ahead and make much more eventually .
Though it would be possible to get everything without investing anything too.
Money alone will not help you succeed as others may still collude against you and push you to nadir.


Huge project .. I have started working though.
Do suggest me anything if you feel that something would create imbalance in game and should be fixed.
Would need to keep an check to tackle bots on this one I guess rest should be good.
Any suggestions for tackling bots?

The game is in development .. Would like to take benefit of the experienced people here to fix as many imbalance issues as possible at this time.

This is something I have been looking forward to for a while. Will this be something along the line of Dota and mixed with something like

Sid Meier's "Civilization" ? Do you have any screen captures to give us a sneak peek? I have played games like,  http://www.bat.org/play

for years and in-game currencies in these games are VERY successful. If you can make money, while you play the game you love... you will

go viral quickly.  Wink  { but then you have to be able to stop the bots }  Angry

Ok, so this is only a concept now, without any actual code being done yet? You should list the role-players you would need to finish this project

and also what budget you think you would need to do this. What method are you planning to use to get those funds? Crowd funding?

Will you use counter-party tokens or Bitcoin without any tokens?

Ok, so this is only a concept now, without any actual code being done yet? You should list the role-players you would need to finish this project

and also what budget you think you would need to do this. What method are you planning to use to get those funds? Crowd funding?

Will you use counter-party tokens or Bitcoin without any tokens?

Currently I am working on it already and would start releasing some videos and screenshots . Investment is needed mainly for graphics which would be purchased mostly. Currently I am working with some graphic packs I bought.

I need a lot of help from community about balance in game, game design, loopholes, exploitable areas etc
 So they can be fixed at design level only.

I would need someone who understands the project and can market it for crowdfunding. Crowdfunding investors would get some great ingame items in return as special units, beta access, alliance leadership etc.

The vastness of project is directly correlated to how much we fuss we have. By time we are looking for crowdfunding I plan on making a goal based fund request. So like if we have xxxx amount we also make naval warfare in game.

About tokens or Bitcoin..I have not yet thought about it..what are your suggestions?

I am totally looking for anyone willing to help anyway.
Also it's encouraging that a senior member like yourself has shown interest. Smiley

I have not played' heroes of might'. Will sure take a look and check about similarity and differences. No I do not plan any magic or fantasy characters..would keep it more near to medivial age human civilization fights. So no vampires ..etc.

I have not played' heroes of might'. Will sure take a look and check about similarity and differences. No I do not plan any magic or fantasy characters..would keep it more near to medivial age human civilization fights. So no vampires ..etc.

Hey checked out the Heroes of Might all versions .. it is a good game seems mostly about turn based fighting. This one would be more of a Mix of RTS + RPG. Making your town and resource collection would be crucial thing. At the same time the fights and battles would be part of the day.
The level of your hero and his/her experience would sometimes become the deciding factor of outcomes.

Some questions:
1) Do you need another programmer to help in dev?
2) What programm language/platform you use for the game?

I am using Unity for game development. Yes any developer with previous experience with unity is welcome. About investments as I said more investment we get there would be greater depth to gameplay and graphics.
Yes cryptocurrency would be used as ingame currency.

Like what Kprawn, for a game that pay users to play, you will have to find innovative ways to prevent botting and cheating so that the whole financial system will be able to sustain.

I would like to see investments schemes where people can buy hero's at discounted prices before the game is released. You create "Never to be repeated" in-game Hero's with special abilities that would only be sold to people in the investment phase.

This kind of crowd funding will lock people in, before the game has even been released and they would receive some virtual asset for their investment. < something you created for the launch >

It also helps to built the anticipation from the people who bought in early. ^smile^

I will definitely put an eye on this project more often from now on and if your game continues to develop in right direction i will definitely put more energy and resources for further development.

If you need any advice about general economics i would suggest you to get in contact with CryptoDatabase. He has just released (although still in beta state) his second MMORPG game and has many years of experience in game development.

Or maybe get in contact with rghmodz and his snake game created with Unity assets. Anyway looking forward to seeing further progress.

I am glad it helped, i know he is very busy with releasing final version of his game Valerian Universe, as you have probably figured out for now. Have you maybe talked about any kind of collaboration in the future or even maybe partly sponsoring your game?

Anyway you game's screenshot looks really great. I see lots of improvement. Keep it up. Will stay around. I know this takes time and not everyday you feel motivated for what you do, but never quit.
