Sorry to hear about your troubles, i think they are troubled with DDOS and they are trying to combat that issue and so is the reason they might have taken their cold wallets offline to avoid any breach. The price of alt coins all went down and i can understand what your situation is.It is better to hold for a while than selling at a loss, just my opinion.

I'm making withdrawal today not much just 0.32 Bitcoin and all going smothly, Poloniex announce in Notice box
" We are experiencing abnormally high traffic at this time. We are working hard at resolving these issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding "
Poloniex will back normal, they just stuck in trading market not in withdrawal.

Norse clearly shows that they getting DDoS'ed and this could be seen for more than 48h BEFORE they admit it. You telling me a company earning more than 500BTC+ a day in fees (according to the volume they list) is not able to hire a company who tells them what to do and how to proper mitigate a DDoS? They simply don't give a fuck. Explain to me why the API goes down as the last thing ALWAYS, explain to me why the market history is on fire updating itself while nothing else, except for the troll box is working on their fucking site.

Yeah we know, whales drive the price up, start selling, DDoS happens, everyone's panic selling and whales buy back cheap. If you can't keep your fucking exchange up for 90% of its users, HALT FUCKING TRADING if you are unable to deal with IT basics.

They make over a MILLION dollars a day:

 - They should have huge datacenters with load balancers.
 - Best DDOS mitigation in the world.
 - A lot of staff to quickly respond to tickets.

Yet they do not.

What does this make them?

This is really getting serious and if poloniex is not careful, this might be the beignning of the end of this site. Reputation is the cheapest thing to lose and from the path poloniex is towing, I am afraid this is happening and this is a lesson once again not to keep too much fund with exchanges because they might disapooint and that's exactly poloniex is doing right at this moment.

POLONIEX...
ok if site crashing isnt bad enough....
Please let users access their coins...some cant buy or sell and cant access their coins
please let customers withdraw their funds...some have waited weeks for verification so they can withdraw, but your not verifying them and holding their money...this is wrong and soon someone will end up taking to guys to court over all this.
You guys are giving all of crypto a bad name again...we worked hard all of us, every dev, hodler, trader to overcome the bad name gox n co gave crypto.
We helped regain cofidence in the market, it took years and now you guys are doing this....im extremely disapointed in you guys

i remember when poloniex was hacked around 2014...i lost a few btc...i recieved an email from Busoni saying he will refund everyone or users can write it off as a donation....i wrote it off...around 6months ltr..i began recieving bits of BTC into my account..it was Busoni refunding users....this is what elevated Polo to a higher lever...the honesty and transparancy....
But things seem to have changed...its not the same anymore  Sad

Please Polo help your customers asap

Also i have my suspicions about usdt  ( when buying usdt is always more than usd...when selling usdt is worth less than usd )

To decrease the chance you will have problems with withdraws, don't use TOR or a VPN to make transactions. Use the same IP address and the same computer, all the time.  Don't accidentally try to withdraw over your daily limit. Seriously it's not hard to use a calculator to calculate how much you can take out.. and give yourself a couple hundred dollars as a buffer.

So far I have had no problems withdrawing to GDAX/Coinbase.

Increasing scability takes time. Even the best websites go down with enough load.  In some cases it's taken years for some of the big name brokerage houses to get their websites up to snuff.

My STR withdraws still mark "processing" for almost 5 days now. I already do like what you said, the same IP, I don't excess my daily limit etc. But hey, shit happen.

I think now they are facing some major issues with people's withdrawals, but I think they are working in the background may be after DDOS. Many people have a panic about the fund they have in POLO. Things will settle once everything is back.

I used Poloniex early today and things work right well, People need to remember that Poloniex is hotspot for hackers so for them to suffer DDOX attack don't need to be taken out of proportion provided your funds are secured

Ok so it's true...

I couldn't withdraw either,

Basically I am not getting the mail to confirm eventhough the transaction says email sent. It used to be instant but why suddenly poloniex doing this?

How many hours it took for you guys  and how long do I need to wait to confirm my withdraw , have some baddebts Huh

Edit: alright guys it took about 30 minutes but poloniex did sent me the confirmation link and now it's confirmed to withdraw ..

I will update again after I see my btc on my local wallet
.  Grin

Second update: okay they are letting us withdraw but  happening slow and delay it's fine for those who are not in emergency. Hope it will get back to Normal soon. Thanks to polo for uninterrupted service.

Firstly, you need to understand there is no exchange that is 100% safe, some are just more security conscious than others. I have been using Poloniex for some time now and I'm okay with there service because of this technical issue you can't just come to conclusion base on your own Opinion, you should have just traded your LTC on Poloniex instead of moving it to another exchange

OP good, leave, and STFU already. You are a complete dolt. Everything you say, ultramaroon

At least there's one voice of reason in this cesspool of pointing fingers. Polo is huge, likewise they have a huge god damn bullseye painted on their servers. Every hacker skid on the planet would try to take them down. Can't anyone grasp that?
