Hi,

I am looking to create a chatbot, but i thought it would be amazing if i could add something bitcoin related in it. First i thought about a localbitcoin type exchange. In which you just tell the bot what you want, he will show the exchangers and you can deal with them in one windows in the chat. But i thought there are already many exchanges out there like localbitcoins.
Doing it in a chat box would be fun and more interesting.Question is,how do you make sure the escrow runs well ? Who would be the escrow?  The chat-bot or the exchange ? Complicated but worth the effort if you write efficient code.

What do you want to see in the chatbot that could help you and save time.
Help Me : Less service fees.
Save time : Reflecting the transactions on 1 confirmation and not 5.

What do you mean by Bitcoin chatbot? A service where you ask questions and the bot detects it and answers it automatically? Or a place where people can chat and tip each other?

If it is the former, since Google is already good enough to act as a helpdesk, maybe you could compile a list of interesting sites, altcoin trading, and a link to this forum. What to you aim for with this chatbox?  Smiley

Its not a chatting site.

Bot will do work for you, which you will tell him. I am thinking of an btc exchange in a chatbot.

Chatbot? Like an automatic chatbox? You will ask questions then they will answer you?
That sounds cool for me. It  will help a lot to us.

a chat box where the answers to FAQ's are peer reviewed by non biased people.

otherwise newb's will just get the same scripted fud that reddit provides them

Hi,

So i am looking to make a first bitcoin chatbot! In which fields do you think they can help us in better way and save our time?

Let's brainstorm!

Bitcoin chat bot is not that easy to make because it is very complicated and a chat bot will help the people who are in need and even a person doesn't have the knowledge to help all the kind of problems that we are currently facing now so i think it is just a complicated project to make and it will take a lot of effort before you done that well.

not complicated. its just using a similar algo as google search.. grab keywords from text box, show response that contains most keywords
where the answers are refined if the keyword(s) is combined by 'who', 'why', 'where', 'when', 'how', 'what', 'which', 'will', 'could', 'should'

then the algo gives a more precise response.
its more time consuming than anything.

usually if a query doesnt get a good answer the query is held and then the dev builds better responses for next time.
usually in such an event the algo has set 'error' responses like
"dude! ask again, but without the waffle".. followed by
"Dude! i heard you the first time, ask something else"... followed by
"DUDE!! insanity is trying the same thing hoping for something different."... followed by
"DUDE!!!! your the kind of guy that loves telephone menu option 9 'press 9 to hear the options again' right?"

I have talked with one developer and he can incorporate a whole exchange into a single chat bot. You will tell the bot whether you want to buy or sell btc and then will ask how would like to pay like Bank, Webmoney etc and you pay right away on it. There will be a escrow feature as well.

I can tell that this is a nice project where you will not click there and click here a lot and the answers are delivered right im front of you.

Also a bot where you will somehow command it to do some work to you by just typing some words like AI but in chat type version. Interesting.

Does this chatbox respond to your inputs or people who talks to you? Say someone asks you, "How much does a Bitcoin cost" ...will it then check

the price and reply with a automated reply? Give us a practical real-life use for this chatbox? Is this going to work on multiple platforms or just

one platform? Details please.  Grin

I think some altcoin have a chatbot. Byteball maybe?

More important is: where you are going to put your chatbot and why are you creating one?

What do you mean chatbot? Like siri or like messenger to chat mostly?. Is the chatbot included once we open the btc forum or will it be in another site and you need to open it?. I assume you are good at codes or languages so probably i would want to see what is in your mind. It may be able to help a lot of newbies because sometimes they would really need an instant reply and not just some complicated terms that they need to search and be more self sufficient.

Bitcoin chatbot could be a good idea. With bitcoin users' growing population it will be helpful for some newbies to get along with the help of this program. I say, it would be great if the chatbot is smart enough to answer FAQs and any other nuances of the bitcoin world
