Any guide? I can't work it out. How do I create a QR containing my 12-word Private Key? I tried bitaddress.org and brainwallet.io but both QR codes don't work (The private key does not match any of your Bitcoin addresses).
Also, using the clipboard doesn't seem to work either - it's greyed out.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to separate words with anything other than <space>?
thanks

The 12 words are NOT the private key. They are a SEED based on what certain wallets can re-create your private key(s). You can read more about this by searching on the internet for Brainwallet (or try https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Brainwallet). The private key is a longer string which is really hard to memorize.

I get it now... is there a way to verify the 12-word seed, other than installing mycelium on another device and restoring?

Goto: https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/Create an "offline" copy of the page (usually Right-Click and select "Save As...")... then run the offline version and put your seed in at the top where it says BIP39 Mnemonic... make sure the Derivation Path is BIP44... and Purpose, Coin, Account, Internal/External are set to 44, 0, 0, and 0 respectively. The "BIP32 Derivation Path" field should show as "m/44'/0'/0'/0" The Account Extended Private and Public Key's should match the xpub and xprv that you can see in Mycelium (Tap on Account, click 3 dots, Select "Export")... Finally, the addresses at the bottom of the page should match what Mycelium is showing.

But is there any way to get the private key of the Mycelium wallet as I need it to sweep that private key using Electron Cash to get my BCH ?

I found this step-by-step guide that explains how to do that by using Coinomi (available for Android) https://steemit.com/btc/@libert/step-by-step-guide-on-claiming-bitcoincash-from-mycellium-wallet-201783t112141477z
Edit: Just saw that you don't want to use Coinomi. Have you tried to select the "BIP39 seed" checkbox while restoring your Mycelium seed at Electron Cash?

These days you should be able to import your Mycelium seed directly into ElectronCash and/or Electrum (using v2.9.0 or higher). Just make sure to click the "Options" button during seed entry and select "BIP39” seed. You should then be prompted for the derivation path... Which should be set to m/44'/0'/0' If using ElectronCash, it should recreate the BCH addresses and you should then be able to send the BCH wherever you want (same as sweeping). If using Electrum, you should see your BTC wallet, addresses and transactions and be able to export private keys for the addresses you want. If you want a specific private key, then you can either import the seed into Electrum/ElectronCash and then export the private key for the address you want... Or you can use the BIP39 mnemonic code converter ( https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/) as I mentioned earlier, as that will display addresses AND matching private keys

Thanks for the help and replies. The reason I'm asking so much about this is that I did import the Mycelium seed into Electron Cash (after first emptying my Mycelium wallet of btc of course). But the balance that shows in Electron cash is less. All the inputs are correct but the outputs don't all coincide with what are in the Mycelium addresses. That's why I wanted to import the Mycelium key/ keys, as opposed to just the seed, into Electron Cash doing Sweep. Another problem with Electron Cash is that all the entries in the transactions says "not verified"

Check the network settings... ElectronCash (and Electrum) needs to download and sync the block headers to verify the transactions... It'll show unverified of it isn't synced right.
If you look at the network settings and the number of blocks isn't equal to the current height of the appropriate blockchain, then the transactions won't show up properly.
If the number is correct, then the headers file might be corrupt, so you may also need to shutdown the app and then delete the block_headers file from the ElectronCash/Electrum data directory. Then reopen the app and let it rebuild...
Again, open the network settings and watch the block count increase until it gets back up to the current Blockchain height 483,000+... It's about 40megs of data so should only take a few minutes on a halfway decent internet connection.
Finally make sure the server you're connected to is appropriate for the Blockchain (BTC or BCH etc)
As for the balance being different, any BTC received after 1 Aug won't reflect in BCH... Also do you have multiple "accounts" in mycelium?

Thanks for the help. Meantime I've decided to use Coinomi instead of Electron Cash. Just inputted seed from Mycelium and got the right balance no problem. Coinomi looks very good, supports many different cryptos and can have more than one account for each of them.

thanks man. im really looking for an article like this one. its really simple. is it working for electrum also? Depends. Are you talking about importing your Mycelium wallet at Electrum or importing your Electrum wallet at Coinomi to claim the Bitcoin Cash? - If you have an Electrum wallet and want to claim your BCH, you don't need to do anything other to download Electron Cash[1] (Electrum fork for BCH) and import your wallet normally. - If you simple want to import your Mycelium wallet at Electrum, you can do it by restoring your Mycelium seed and selecting the "BIP39 seed" checkbox at the Electron wallet restore wizard. And then do what I said above to spend your Bitcoin Gold (if you have any);

[1] https://electroncash.org/Wait, i didn't know this? Electrum supports Bitcoin Gold? Which means i can just import my Master Seed from Mycelium to Electrum, and claim my Bitcoin Gold? Asking this because i noticed first time that Electrum is supporting Bitcoin Gold(or i haven't done enough digging )

Asking this because i noticed first time that Electrum is supporting Bitcoin Gold(or i haven't done enough digging ) Electrum doesn't. But Electron Cash, which is a fork for BCH, does. Just download it, and open your wallet just like you do with normal Electrum. Or import your seed/master private key, just like you would do to if you want to restore your wallet. NO.Electrum doesn't support Bitcoin Gold... Electrum is for BTC only! Electron Cash doesn't support Bitcoin Gold... ElectronCash is for Bitcoin CASH only! According to the BTG website ( https://btcgpu.org/#ecosystem)... the only wallets currently listed are Coinomi, Freewallet and Guarda I think it speaks volumes that they don't actually have a "Core" wallet listed... and it's about 1 day until the fork is scheduled to occur.

Its happening in 2.5h http://prntscr.com/h15lka . Not really less then 1 day. Damn my head is spinning so much from this information. Will see what happens, MAYBE it will be possible to import Mycelium seed into Coniomi(pulling this info out of my arse so im just guessing)
