They must make sure these exchanges are
100% secure. We do not need another MtGox because people rushed into something for the profits and neglected to secure people's money. I
trust these people know what they doing.... well we hope so.
You raise a good point. The beginning is what I always consider to be the "blind" period. It's exactly like that -- the rush to benefit from this exponential growth is the main priority of those behind exchanges and other services. Being on time in the game matters a lot as it will allow you to build up a rock solid reputation as years go by. Look right now how difficult it is to set up a successful exchange. Exchanges pop up like it's nothing, but at the same time, they shut down fairly soon as well. If you're too late, you'll have a lot catching up to do. If you have the finances to keep operating, then you'll last longer, but if you don't have much financial resources, you won't last long.
