Hi, I am using a mSigna wallet for the first time. I sent bitcoin to the wallet but my wallet does not sync. I checked the blockchain so the money has arrived, but I can't connect. Obviously this means for now the balance in my wallet is 0.

Whenever I try to click connect, it says there is a peer connect error and that the target machine actively refused a connection.

What wallet could I use to restore my wallet?

Really confused, can anyone help my wallet sync or at least let me export it?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

mSIGNA requires that you connect to a bitcoin node. Its not like electrum or multibit hd that uses SPV. You would need a full node, in which case you would install bitcoind and start it and let it download the blockchain, or connect to an ip of one. If youre new, I would recommend using electrum. Simply export your private key and import it to electrum. I do recall there being a export function in mSIGNA.

But I can't find my private key!

On mSigna, I export something called BIP32 extended key, but it doesn't work when I try and import this into Electrum.
Is that my private key?

Similarly, when I try to restore using my wallet seed on the MultiBit wallet, it shows this:

(check)   Backup location created
(cross)    Wallet created
(check)   Security certificates
(cross)    Wallet is synchronising. Please wait until complete.

EDIT: The reason this is a problem is because it gets stuck at this screen for hours.

If anyone can sort my problem I would be SO thankful!
