Good day...

im building a Eth mining rig with a Asrock z97 anniversary motherboard.
I have 4 PCIe 1x riser cards installed into the 4 PCIe slots.

However nothing is getting recognized in pcie1 slot. the remaining 3 slots work fine and all 3 GPUs are getting recognized. looking into the bios the only setting i can find is adjusting the PCIe speed, non of the settings is making any difference. also the Bios has a tool were you can see a map of your motherboard and everything else is getting presented just fine, while PCIe1 slot remains shown as empty... any ideas? switching risers, cables etc... did not make any change

i have 1x 4gb Ram module and a dual core Celeron CPU installed.

Thank you for your help!

I banged my head on a desk over a similar problem, turns out I forgot to plug the riser in lmao.

Plug a card/riser into the slot that you KNOW works, start troubleshooting, there isnt anything you're doing thats inherently wrong so isolate the problem more definitively by seeing what ONE variable you change makes the difference of working or not

i have plugged in the riser...i also have switched the working riser and GPU lets say from PCIe2 to 1 etc... the riser and that haven't worked now worked and the one that did work now disappeared... so i think must be something else than the riser or GPU...

Good day...

Turned out the reason for the problem was a damaged USB cable...
Now miner is happily mining with 4 cards...
