It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

the chances of this happening are very high. not because i think "sell the news" is a thing for litecoin SegWit activation, but because many people are expecting it to happen, and when traders expect something to happen that thing will surely happen. and them being trigger happy, selling is going to be fast and big. but i still think LTC will recover even if it falls down. so $50 and $100 are still strong possibilities. maybe after a dip(?)

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Here is an interesting chart about LTC prediction by 2030 considering various scenarios. Assumption made is, BTC will be 500,000$ by year 2030 | BTC | LTC | Comment | Max coins | 21000000 | 84000000 | | Ratio considering MAX coins | 500000$
| 125000$ | LTC=MAX_LTC / (MAX_LTC / MAX_BTC) | Current Ratio considering current price difference | 500000$
| 9722.22$ | LTC=MAX_BTC / (Current_BTC_Price / Current_LTC_Price)
| Current Ratio considering current Gold to Silver price difference | 500000$
| 7346.94$ | LTC=MAX-BTC / (Current_GOLD_Price/Current_SILVER_Price)
| My prediction | 500000$
| 25000$ | Assuming altcoin ratio rises more as compared to BTC over the years
| What do you guys think?

Looks like people has finally sold the news. It had a dump, then a pump pre segwit only 3 hours remaining, and after we got that 0.02 peak, it's going down again, now the question is, how low will it go to enter the market with a long term position?

The disadvantage LTC has is no direct currency pairing on poloniex. If I could sell other alts for LTC (or better yet XEM) instead of BTC I would but you have to go through BTC first to get LTC, and why subject myself to extra transaction fees and hassle? An exchange that lets you trade any coin for any coin would fix that. If LTC had direct pairing it would trade at a 5 billion dollar market cap. Bitcoin's fees are too high for me to want to use it for coin storage at this point.. replace it with XEM which would cost a dime to trade smaller amounts instead of a buck with much faster transaction times and much higher total transactions per second. Need a storage coin that can handle high liquidity with low fees.
