Just buy from exchange sites and then deposit in your wallet? Its not hard to do.

Although you can also buy Ripple at any exchange like Poloniex or Bittrex, won't be much difficult and you won't have to pay extra either.
I have Ripple on an exchange, I can send you from there if you want. But as you're a newbie, you are to pay BTC first.

did you made your wallet on gatehub ?
anyway if you need some XRP just buy it on exchange , poloniex or bittrex and send to your new wallet
