Hi, I added email verification as second level security at Blockchain.info 2 days ago.

I have been able to login since den after entering the code dat I get in email. It took around 10-15mins to get the verification email at 2pm today and this time, I had to click on a link n den I got the verification code.

Now, am not getting any verification email. Its been more dan 30mins dat am trying to login.

Plz help. If anyone of you had added email verification as second level security, please check if you are getting the verification now.

Am worried now:(

Thanks.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Emails are not good way to get two factor setup because of this mail delivery issues ( BUT its better to have at least email two factor instead of nothing )

I will still recommend to get one Android and setup two factor there. Also if your email address is gmail, you must setup two factor for your email address too.

And do not forget to explain your wife ( or brother or father ) how to use this Smiley

Cheers

Blockchain.info is messy. Wallets get corrupted very easily.

I have had to change 5 - 6 wallets so far for my customers using blockchain as the back end for their projects.

I have stopped using them.

Always backup your blockchain wallet. That way, you can import it into multibit client and use it when something like this happens.

Never had any issues with blockchain.info's wallet service and I guess you probably don't have any idea of what you're talking about, right? "Messy" wallets?

Try the Api to send a payment to the same account and the wallet gets corrupted.
Had this problem when customers tried to demo their build using the same wallet. An error asking for a number between 1 and 1000 comes up.
May not be entirely bad, but small problems like this are not good for applications.
Maybe you were ignorant of this problem, right?

Am only facing a problem with the merchant side of it.

Blockchain.info is still the best solution as an online wallet for individual use.

I made my first  wallet and few hours later it stopped working.

Than few days later i made a new one again, enabled two factor code etc
Some days later i got a two factor authentication mail without doing login.

From that day I stopped using them.

I prefer to use MTgox as wallet lol.
