Pakistan and its people are all lovely people am very sure of that, but the threat of an Al Qaeda attack or any other Islamic Extremist group is something that can happen at any time, I suggest an alternative place for your vacation if u value your life.

So many places in the world to visit and he wants to go to the fews who are in war thats crazy!

Some people are more interested in exotic locations. Do you know how many international tourists visit North Korea every year? And trust me, the number is not very insignificant. There are a lot of westerners going to nations such as Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, Somalia.etc.

If your objective is the go up the Eiffel Tower than you are going to the wrong country.

If you cannot decide just go to the Border and watch the Daily entertainment.

I HAVE HEARD THINGS ABOUT THE COUNTRY, THEY ARE UNCIVILIZED PEOPLE, THEY WILL CUT DOWN AMERICANS IF THEY HAVE A CHANCE. MORE OVER THEY THERE ARE DEATHS REPORTED IN PAKISTAN OF AMERICAN AMBASSADORS.
WHY I AM ASKING THIS QUESTION? IT BECAUSE I WANT TO GO ON A VACATION WITH A LIMITED BUDGET. OPTIONS ARE PAKISTAN AND THAILAND. BUT I WANT TO GO TO PAKISTAN TO SEE WHAT IS THE PROBLEM THERE, ARE PEOPLE REALLY INFLUENCED TO TERRORISM AND STUFF LIKE THAT.. ?

Actually, even others here will tell you that you must go to Thailand for a vacation where they have a lot of beautiful tourist spot out there, if your heart's tell that you like to visit the Pakistan, all the suggestion will be useless at all, though you know nowadays Pakistan was a dangerous place to visit for now, but I'm not sure if it still not safe, I'm not updated anyway in the news, just all I know about it for now.

Go where ever you want. Depends on what you want to see and do.
If your objective is the go up the Eiffel Tower than you are going to the wrong country.

What is there to see in Pakistan? Sharia courts stoning women to death? Or Hindu girls getting kidnapped by militant Muslims and then forcibly converted to Islam? I would avoid Pakistan at any cost.

Comparing these two that you want to go on a cheap vacation, Pakistan has more problems and has not beautiful sea like Thailand does. So the choice is clear for me, go to the country with less problems to enjoy a beautiful vacation. The only downside though is you cannot eat as good as in Pakistan ,in Thailand. I have been in both places and Pakistani cooks better and I love their spicy food.

You have a point there. Although in America Thai food is considered very spicy and good, that doesn't mean it's that way in Thailand.

Can't recall trying any Pakistani food except maybe twice long time ago, will have to check it out.

Pakistani meat dishes (especially those made from mutton and chicken) are very famous throughout South Asia. Even in England (where there is a very large Pakistani diaspora population), these dishes are among the most wanted. I can give you a few examples, such as Butter chicken, Seekh kebab, Shami kebab, Rogan josh, Chicken Lahori, Chicken tikka masala.etc.

Thai food is also pretty spicy, but it is quite different from the Pakistani food. Anyway.... each country has its own unique cuisine. But there is no need to visit Pakistan to have the Pakistani food, when you can get it very easily in London or New York.

It is not that bad there. Recently they had international cricket matches and everything went smoothly. There has been no major terror attacks for the past many months. But you never know when the next major attack is going to occur. Anyway, if you stay out of the tribal areas and confine yourself to the major cities, then I guess everything will be fine.

Definitely Pakistan. You shoudn't listen to these people that have only visited pakistan through THE MEDIA(Fake news) and don't know a thing about it. THEY ALL ARE BULLSHITTING. There is no place like Pakistan. When you visit it you will know.

I haven't been to there but as I've heard, It's a nice place to travel. Nice landscape beautiful nature and good food to try.
Tourists seem to have special privilege for things like drinking alcohol and having fun.

Pakistan for me is more about nature than any culture. If you want Muslim culture/history Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Turkey are a much better place to visit.
